Family owned ryokan at the entrance of Monkey Forest. Dinner and breakfast is included in the price of the accommodation. The menu is set, but if you let them know in advance, and are willing to pay an extra fee, staff will prepare vegan meals for you. Cooks with local ingredients, many grown on site.

Wonderful stay at this authentic ryokan. - Edit
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The accommodations are simple,but the place is very clean and you have everything you need for a very pleasant stay. Of course you cannot beat the location!!! I mean, they warn you NOT to open the windows or the monkeys WILL get in! There is no other place like it! But i have to say, the highlight for me were the two meals. I was a bit worried about what my food situation would be like, (I am the only vegan in the family) but the food was prepared with such care and attention to detail that I was blown away.
