decent food + gf - Edit
it was great to be able to take my omni dad here as he has celiac. i appreciate the vegan options, however the food itself is kind of average. yummy, but nothing insane. i wish the chick’n and waffles were vegan!

Hello Brunch! - Edit
Finally, a place to go and enjoy brunch with friends and not feel like “a Sally” by asking for all kinds of substitutions. Enjoyed a delicious veggie omelette (served hot!) and pancakes (yes, vegan and delicious, served hot, too)! Definitely my new go to breakfast eatery!!!

Tasty Food - Edit
Jewel's Bakery and Cafe is a cute spot to get brunch with your omni friends. I got the pickle chips and the chickn and waffles. The waffles were really fluffy and the cauliflower was delightful as well. I was hoping for more of a faux chicken but I love cauliflower so that was fine.
Read moreEverything did turn out to be pretty expensive. Two entrees, an app, coffee and an oj were $60 so it won't be a place I frequent, but I'll definitely go back as the other vegan options looked tasty!
Pros: Full vegan menu including baked goods, Yummy, Covered patio
Cons: Expensive

Amazing Vegan Desserts! - Edit
I haven’t had a meal at Jewels yet, however I plan to very soon. A lot of their vegan options seem to use Just Egg which hikes up the prices, but if they are anything like the desserts I am totally willing to pay a little extra for the quality.

Cons: A little on the pricey side but they use Just Egg

Delicious Vegan/GF Food - Edit
I have a hard time accommodating both my vegan diet and my celiac diet (GF). Jewel’s is a godsend. Yummy vegan options, and an entirely GF kitchen. Not the healthiest food, if that’s what you’re looking for. But one of the few places in town I can eat french fries (cross-contamination is real, and “safe” fries are hard to find for those of us with celiac). Only downside is that the service is generally very slow - so visit on a day when you have time to spare.

Not healthy or delicious - Edit
The food is very oily with cooking oil or fryer oil. If you calculated macronutrients, I’d say if you’re lucky, 5% of it would be protein. Awful vegan choices as they are unbalanced. The produce isn’t even consistently fresh. Because of my family, I have been here 4 times. The first time was acceptable. But since 2018, their vegan options are awful. I would avoid, or go on a full stomach and order a beverage.

Really processed foods, too much oil. Ingredients unknown and no vegan dressings, not even mustard! I will not be back. Soy alternative milk only.

Best Buffalo Cauliflower Wings in Phoenix! - Edit
I finally made it back to Jewel's Bakery & Cafe and tried the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings. It was a carry out order. The fried cauliflower was naked (sans any sauce), served with carrot and celery sticks, ranch, and the buffalo sauce was on the side. I was a bit disappointed that the cauliflower wasn't already sauced, however, it was still delicious. I will definitely return for more.

Yummo! - Edit
Food was delicious. I had vegan slaw and tacos with avocado and it was bomb. Shared the cauliflower wings with my friend, we both enjoyed them!! Would return.
