nice buffet - Edit
It is super close to the metro exit, you will see a sign saying "Tea House". The eatery is in the second underground floor. The buffet consist of some 12 things and also tea and some fruits. The food was traditional Korean, I haven't noticed anything Thai :-). It was a quick tasty lunch but I would not call it the best food in Seoul as some did ;-)

Wonderful! - Edit
Zander and I searched out Jeoksubang based on the great reviews here on Happy Cow. And a lunch became a wonderful afternoon event. The first thing you will notice upon entering the building is a beautiful Buddhist temple prayer room. The restaurant is downstairs below the prayer room. The food is delicious - just like Mom would cook if Mom happened to be from Taiwan and Korea. And the most reasonably-priced meal in Seoul. I noticed that they had a large selection of teas and asked the incredible Iris (previously mentioned in reviews) about the tea. What happened? Iris gave us a full Chinese tea ceremony while educating us about tea preparation and serving. So lunch became an afternoon and Iris became a friend. Highly recommended for food and tea. And Iris says she also makes a mean cup of coffee which we can't wait to try on our next visit.

Amazing all you can eat Buddhist Temple Food - Edit
We visited Jeoksubang on our second day in Seoul and thanks to the great directions given on this page we found it straight away!

She speaks fluent English as she has travelled a lot and was so happy to have us there. The food was amazing and not bland at all ~ I really liked their kimchi!! Highly recommend anyone to go, it is wholesome and nourishing food that is wonderful for your body and soul.

One of the best temple food - Edit
This is a branch temple of Taiwanese temple Fo Guang Shan which is famous for its excellent vegetarian food. The restaurant is inside the temple, there is no sign outside, but don't be afraid, it worth to venture inside. The staff and also the nuns are extremely welcoming and helpful. The food is various, very delicious Chinese style food. Most of them are vegan. It is also conveniently located, just next to Dongguk University subway station, and the price is very cheap regarding it's all-you-can-eat.

Taiwanese, Vegan except for Maxim instant coffee - Edit
I only searched for vegan places at first, so this wasn't on my radar. But I like it! The food is mostly vegan, and the lady will tell you if there is dairy in any of the dishes. Today when I went, there wasn't.

A wonderful surprise - Edit
I was traveling around Seoul with my wife and literally stumbled upon this wonderful 100% vegan place held by a very kind and smiling lady (Thanks to HappyCow!). It was lunch time and everything served in the buffet was very tasty, fresh and healthy. We absolutely loved our experience there and will most definitely come back one day. It was also by far the best home-made kimchi we had in our entire trip! A must go-to place for vegans struggling to find plant-based meals in Seoul (PS: We had tried all the highest-rated expensive buddhist vegan restaurants of Seoul on HappyCow beforehand, and we ended up prefering Jeoksubang!).

cheap and good buffet! - Edit
7,000won per pax for buffet. All the food is cooked by a single Taiwanese lay lady so we went for the slightly cold buffet for dinner. The lady gave us hot seaweed soup and topped up one of the dishes. She even served us expensive lotus flower tea, complimentary of the temple. Just need to take train to Dongguk station, exit 2. Come out, walk past the big bread shop on left and go down the first small road. You'll see the temple door. Enter and go down 2 floors to the restaurant. Open till 7pm. Weekends closed.
