Cannoli was just okay - Edit
This is probably a good option if you have other allergies and aren't just vegan. Some of the other baked goods looked pretty good, but sadly the cannoli was mediocre. I was excited to try a cannoli because I haven't had one since being vegan, but it wasn't really like a cannoli except for the shape. The filling was kind of salty and the shell was hard and biscuit-like.

Der Kuchen war süß...mehr aber leider auch nicht. Der Brownie hat auch schon etwas älter geschmeckt. Netter Service.

Bad customer service! - Edit
I planned to order a vegan birthday cake from here and I was so disappointed the owner basically completely ignored me for months. She messaged me back the night of (on my birthday) asking why I didn’t pay for the cake she never sent an invoice for. She was rude and has zero communication skills.

Delicious pastries - Edit
We visited Jennifer Lee's Bakery with my boyfriend and we completely loved their pastries, especially the brownie and the red velvet cake (such amazing texture, really soft). We were quite surprised for the bad ratings on HappyCow, maybe we were just lucky, but we think it's worth a visit and an opportunity, since vegan pastries are not that easy to find in Boston.

Vegan cannoli! - Edit
The vegan cannoli was great (albeit this is the first time I’ve ever had one) BUT it was soo incredibly sweet I could only eat a small bite and saved the rest for later.

Not good - Edit
Not good, at all. Have tried multiple times and regretted each purchase. Perhaps good if you need desserts that are free of various allergens?

Brownie - Edit
Super large Brownie! It was a 'cookie monster' Brownie with some chocolate chip cookie baked into it with blue icing. I asked the employee what was in the case that she knew was baked this morning. She said she knew these brownies were, so we decided to go with that. It was very moist and fresh tasting. It didn't have a rich, dark chocolate taste though. It tasted more like chocolate cake to me. Still very good.

Very good, pricy treats - Edit
The cookie dough cannoli was amazing if not traditional, and the whoopie pie was good for being gluten free. Quite expensive ($13 for those two items), and all items are free of most allergens, which can lower the quality unnecessarily.

Gave it a couple of tries - Edit
.. but unfortunately it's just not good. The service has been fine, but the food is not: dry, dense, bland, pasty. The last item I tried was flavorless and not even edible, I threw it away after a few bites. Maybe there are a couple of things on the menu that work, but I haven't found them.

Lovely and tasty! - Edit
I’ve been going here for years and every time I’ve had a wonderful experiance. The owner is very kind and thoughtful. She goes above and beyond for her customers. BEST brownies and donuts. My friend who is a meat eater is addicted to her donuts and finds every excuse to get herself one she’s in the market. Haha because ‘they’re vegan they’re healthy’
Read moreI get the fig and goat cheese panini often and Mac and cheese. The frosting on her cakes are divine. Also warms up the cold lunches they sell for you if you’d like. The Banana bread is to die for, couldn’t even tell it was gluten free( or vegan ).

CAUTION - being a vegan bakery is not their main focus! - Edit
What I mean by that is: their point is to be entirely allergen free. A lot of people are focusing on it like it's solely a vegan place - it's not. If you are only vegan with no other dietary restrictions, do not expect what you're used to from other places.
Read moreI've given this place a few tries and I just can't anymore. I want to support it and like the idea but at the end of the day I don't find many of their products very good and don't have a reason to eat such allergen-free specific foods. If I had specific allergies I would probably be stoked to eat here. But I don't and I can't see paying the slightly higher prices for a sub-par product.
I've had amazing vegan bakes goods, amazing gluten free bakes goods, but I think this place falls flat because every product is trying to cater to everyone. In general I think the owner is trying to do WAY too much with this business. Gluten free baking is incredibly hard to get right on its own, and when you factor in also being vegan/soy/nut/etc free then it's more of a challenge to do well. She should focus on a more limited menu that can be knocked out of the park or buy gluten free breads from someone who has really nailed it.
Pro tips: If your production bake lists only call for making 1-2 of something, then your menu is too big. You can't be everything to everyone (not to mention a small business can't survive making random deliveries to the furthest corner of the state). Given the recent posts she's made about being pushed over the edge by a few rude comments, it appears she's incredibly burnt out (which I feel for). I wouldn't be surprised if this place is around much longer. I hope she takes a hard look at everything and pivots in a different direction because I ultimately do want to see this place succeed.
Pros: great if you have incredibly specific allergies
Cons: inconsistent quality, food just isn't very good

Pretty disappointing. - Edit
I was really looking forward to trying this place but was sadly unimpressed. I ordered a sandwich and cookie, I could barely either sadly. The bread used for the sandwich was so strange and almost like a slice of cake. The whole thing was very unappealing. The cookie was overly sweet. Sadly I wouldn't recomend coming here and I hate to say that about a fully vegan establishment. Perhaps the establishment could take the feedback from these reviews and change things up to meet customers tastes better.

Why? - Edit
I'm just stunned at how little this place feels the need to improve. I've been here 3 or 4 times stretched out over time. Every time trying something different, and hoping that maybe they're going to figure it out that they don't know what they're doing. The donuts are bad. The pastries are bad. The sandwiches are bad. I had a melt that they made with eggplant bacon (oh my good god, no thank you) that was somehow burned on the outside without actually melting any of the cheese. I don't think they even use any cooking spray on the panini press so it gets stuck and then the sandwich falls apart. Please, for the love of god, go out and taste some better vegan food and re-examine what you're doing here.

Disappointing - Edit
My mother in law purchased some vegan goodies for me for Christmas from here. Unfortunately the cookies and cakes selected were really bad. I had a couple of items, including 2 different donuts that tased exactly the same, gingerbread, brownie and something blue. Everything disappointed, except for the brownies which were insanely sweet but somewhat edible. Staff were also unhelpful to my mother in law, who had no vegan knowledge but was trying to get me something I could have on Christmas day. Wouldn't recommend.

Really gave it a try - Edit
I've gone here a few times hoping each time it'd get better. The first time I got a muffin and it wasn't terrible, not the best but fine. I went again and got a brownie that was dry and hard to eat, tasted like straight coco. The final time really put me off. I got a panini that was buffalo jackfruit or something. It was a man working and he put it in to heat it up and I literally waited for close to 15 minutes for it to be done despite being the only person who was there getting food. When he gave me the sandwich I went and sat down and it was somehow STILL cold inside. The bread was wet and falling apart, and the consistency was like a dense cake. It tasted so awful. I never waste food so I trudged through it but by the time all that was left was just thick slices of a flavorless cakey bread with wet buffalo sauce on it I just couldn't do it anymore and I tossed it. I haven't been back even though I really want to give this place a chance because of what it's aiming to do. Just wish the food was better and that sandwich really put me off from going again, especially considering the price.

Unfortunately just subpar - Edit
I wanted to like this place so badly because I really respect what they're doing, but the food is frankly not good. The bagels have an awful texture and they don't stand up well to their sandwich fillings. Said fillings are flavourless: eating the sausage bagel sandwich was like eating a sad bagel stuffed with crumbled tofu.
Read moreThe baked goods aren't much better. The caramel brownie was insanely greasy and tasted of little other than sugar, and the caramel topping was pretty dire. The doughnuts are dry and tasteless. The only saving grace was the chocolate chip cookie, which was perfectly average.

Disappointing donuts - Edit
Love all of their vegan branding, but was very disappointed in the lemon and blueberry donuts I purchased ($3.25 each). They were more like a cake than a donut and the icing flavorings (where all the flavor was) were also not to my liking. It had a weird aftertaste and didn't have a great consistency or texture. Wasn't worth whatever I paid for them at all and won't be repurchasing donuts from them. However, maybe some of their baked good options are better -- they must be, as they still seem to be thriving in their area. Just would stay away from the donuts!

It's inside Boston Market. That wasn't obvious and info wasn't on the website. Walked around the neighborhood for a bit before finding it.

I got a breakfast sandwich (house-made sausage, scrambled tofu, & cheeze) on a gluten free onion bagel. I wanted eggplant bacon, but they’d run out for the day. Everything was delicious and you could taste the “care” that went into each ingredient.

Sad donuts, good brownies - Edit
I was very excited to eat some cinnamon rolls and breads from here as I couldn’t find any in other pastry locations. I love the concept of this place, and I appreciate the brownie and the donut I had, but we had to wait 15 minutes for a worker to show up to the stand and there were no cinnamon rolls or baguettes like promised on saturdays. The donuts had icing that had melted off and I was hesitant to get one, but I did and it was okay. The brownie made going there a little more worth it though! Maybe wasn’t the best day to get something, I’d still try it out if looking for vegan or allergy safe pastries.

Cons: Didn’t have items as advertised, Food left on counter and no one at the stand, A little messy
