Breakfast of champions - Edit
On my way to a meeting, I took a quick look at the app and spotted Jay Oh—it seemed like a great option. Just five minutes after arriving at Wat Mangkon, I was already enjoying breakfast!
Read moreWhile there’s no English on the menu, it’s not a problem when everything is vegan. I chose a Pad Thai dish, and it didn’t disappoint. Packed with plenty of tofu, chili, and incredibly fragrant Thai basil, it reminded me just how lacking the Thai basil back home can be.
All this, plus a drink, for just 60 baht—an absolute bargain! Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

Friendly service, amazing flavour - Edit
Service was quick and friendly. Accommodated my nut allergy no problems. The noodle soup dish I had was the most flavourful I've had in Bangkok so far.

Delicious food. - Edit
Interesting location at the end of a small alley. Really nice people running it. The food is cooked to order so you may have to wait a little while as it's being prepared for you. There's an extensive menu with pictures of the available dishes.

Hidden and tasty - Edit
The restaurant is hidden in a small street. Prices are great, everything was vegan. The staff was very friendly and cooked super quickly. We liked everything we had as it tasted fresh. It is an experience.

Wow! Best Chinese food I have ever had. - Edit
We were visiting Chinatown in Bangkok and looked on Happy Cow for a vegan recommendation. This place is in a little hole in the wall of a side alley. There is good signage showing the way. I had the vegetarian flat rice noodle savory soup. It was out of this world delicious. They have a menu in English/Chinese and also a big picture book where they show you what the item you are interested in looks like. Very little English, but everything worked smoothly. Highly recommend this place!

Fab! - Edit
Having seen the reviews here on HappyCow we headed straight here after a morning visiting the Grand Palace. We were so glad to be able to enjoy some food in China Town without any difficulty finding something vegan. It’s very close to the dark blue metro line and clearly signed with a big overhead banner from the main road, and the owner shouted vegetarian to us when we approached and probably looked a little lost! The menu is available in English with pictures so easy to choose, and good is cooked fresh to order. It took a little time but we ordered just after a group of five. We shared a rice dish and a noodle soup, both were simple and delicious. With a couple of bottles of water and a tip it came to 150 baht. A must when visiting Bangkok!

A relief - Edit
I quickly searched Happy Cow after wandering the meat-heavy roads of Chinatown. It was the first to pop up. Don’t use the direct link in Happy Cow for directions, it’s slightly wrong. Copy the address into maps. I say outside. Cheap and cheerful. Lovely staff!

Was very impressed with the meal I had. It was served so quick, and I had what I presumed was a starter, main and a side for 80 BAHT (about £2).

Budget, yum and local! - Edit
Would highly recommend for vegans/veggies looking for easy, yummy, local budget meals. The whole menu is veg friendly, and very tasty. Use maps to find it as it's down an alley (and search 'Jae Lee' if using google maps), and be wary that the sign isn't too visible. However, the seating is on one side of the alley and the kitchen is on the other, so if you miss it, it's probably because you walked through it!

Very good restaurant, located at the end of a very small alley. Look for the yellow sign with the arrow.

They speak very little English and the menu of the wall is in Thai only. But they do have a Thai-English menu that makes it easy to order

Tasty food - Edit
I only speak a little Thai so I told the lady “Ahan Jai” which means vegan (Jai) food. The menu is all in Thai so I’m not sure what the other options were, haha. She made me a tasty tofu stir fry for 40 baht. I also got some dried mushrooms for 80 baht.
