Vegan dishes are great, but they now serve meat and fish.

Unfortunately, they are no longer vegan ONLY. They have one menu for fish and meat dishes, which is quite sad! Vegan dishes however taste good and authentic to the Thai cuisine.

Delicious food

Lovely all vegan restaurant, gorgeous interior and many options on the menu.
I’ve been here twice now. Pics from first and second visit.
Staff is nice and friendly, but are not always understanding you correctly (when you want to wait to have the following course served for example, it came within 10 minutes). Not much of a thank you after a big tip and you can only pay by cash.
The food though.. it’s delicious! And that’s where i’m for. Tasty, savoury, colorful, good portions and a lovely presentation. Would go for third time definitely 💕

Pros: Tasty Thai dishes, Lots of choice, all vegan!, Many delicious mocktails

Cons: Staff could be bit more professional , Only cash payment

Nice ambiance and music, food well presented

Taste of food could be better and service should be faster. Tempeh salad was too salty. Pad Thai was ok. Quantity is medium. Replaced the salad with a hot tofu vegetable dish. Service is adequate, nothing to draw one back again. Prices seemed to be on high end

Pros: Ambiance

Cons: Slow service, Cash or PayPal payment only

Nice and spicy

Finally a vegan Thai restaurant so we had to try this place. The food looks absolutely stunning, tastes overall good (spices and herbs).

The salad was nice, the sauce was good, the curry and the soup also.

Then a few 'cons': in general I sometimes like fake meat. Here I had the 'chicken' skewer. The fake meat was very soft inside (I recognised it from an Asian supermarket), became sticky once you ate it.

In the curry I choose the 'pork' because I was curious. Contrary to the 'chicken' this was tough (no texture) and initially tasteless and in the end I didn't like the taste and set it aside. The curry itself was very tasteful and nice and creamy.

When we payed the bill the staff did not say anything (no thank you, no good bye), kind of rude to be honest.

Pros: Food looks beatiful, Nice Thai spices and herbs

Cons: Did not like the fake meat, Staff was not friendly

Pros: schönes Ambiente , nette Bedienung , verschiedene Fleischalternativen

90% Geil
10% SEHR schade!

Great vegan place

Many options to choose from. Everything is vegan here. Everything we ordered was delicious. If you don't like it spicy though, maybe it's not the place for you.
Service could be better and also quite expensive.

Good food with potential for better service

Purely vegan Thai restaurant with a very large selection of different dishes with fake meat such as pork, beef, duck and chicken, but also tofu. Very large menu, sometimes you don't really know what the difference between the sauces is. We had the mixed starter platter, Pad Thai with vegan duck and a curry with vegan pork belly. Everything was very tasty, although the curry was rather average. The vegan pork belly was something different and not everyone will like it. The vegan duck was very close to the 'original'. Unfortunately, the service was a complete disaster! You are left standing at the entrance without being greeted, everything takes a very long time and seems totally disorganized (we first got our starter, then cutlery, then drinks and had to wait 1 hour between starter and main course). The waitresses themselves are nice, but they ignore you most of the time (if you want to order more or pay). I hope it works out, because we need delicious purely vegan restaurants! Because of the service, I would rather give it 3 stars overall, but I'll give the restaurant another chance and want to support it rather than put it down.

Pros: Large selection of dishes, Fake meat dishes, Good drinks

Cons: Long waiting times, Service ignores you

100% vegan Thai

Due to the high demand for vegan dishes, the vegan offshoot of Sila Thai has recently opened, making it another purely vegan restaurant in Düsseldorf. Jay offers an extensive menu with vegan dishes and a large selection of fine cocktails with and without alcohol. The atmosphere is quite stylish and the food is also beautifully presented and visually appealing.

Unfortunately, most of the dishes are very (!) spicy. A couple of the main dished can be ordered optionally with tofu, vegan chicken, pork or duck. You should bring enough time with you for the visit, we had to wait for ages for the menu (finally we helped ourself) and to be served the food. However, the dishes were really tasty - especially the starters (fresh spring rolls and gyoza mandu). Payment is favoured via Paypal. Reservation is recommended.

Excellent Thai Food

Upset that this has been created by a non-vegan restaurant, which always feels like a marketing ploy (My reasoning for 4 stars rather than 5). But delicious food nonetheless.

so does this restaurant serve meat? because i couldn't find any non-veg dishes on the menu. also, the "sila thai" restaurant is 3km away from this address so they can't operate out of the same kitchen

thevegannomad

I did not say they operated out of the same kitchen nor did I say they serve meat? It is a vegan restaurant, however it is a concept by a non-vegan restaurant. How does that not make sense? Haha. It is like all of the vegetarian Burger Kings that did test runs. They are still operated by a meat-hungry, unethical company. They did the rest runs for marketing. That is what this business is doing. Which I find gross and not at all vegan. Veganism is not about food. This is a marketing ploy.

sorry, i didn't mean to offend you. i just saw that you added this place as a "restaurant with vegan options" and was confused by this (because other restaurants operated by non-vegans but exclusively serving vegan food are listed as vegan). however, i get your point

Oh. Did not mean to add it as non-vegan. I always submit as a cafe/food store because it's less question answering/boxes to fill out. So that was just an accidental mistake.

Well, they do serve honey with their tea, and on top of that they claim that honey is vegan 💀
