Staff are nice, but no fresh cheese in early 2023 - Edit
During my Paris visit in March 2023, I made a special trip to Jay & Joy. While they have a refrigerator case selling some commercial brands of cheeses (Violife), they have none of their own to sell. According to the shop employees, they have not been able to source the ingredients to make the cheeses since January 2023. If you are visiting anytime soon, you should call before traveling to the shop to make sure they have cheese.

MUST STOP IN PARIS - Edit
Do NOT miss out on Jay&Joy vegan cheeses. You can’t go to Paris without cheese and I was worried as a vegan but ohhhhh emmm geeee. I ate these cheeses smeared all over French baguettes every day I was there and it was pure bliss. Go more than once. And tell them to come to the States because I miss them.

Great products, great people - Edit
The employees were so kind and welcoming. We tried all of their cheeses and bought some of all. Everything was just so delicious. They make cheese on the house and they sell other vegan products such as fake meats, sausages, chocolates, “egg” mixtures and so forth. It’s definitely expensive but I’ve never been more amazed of vegan cheeses than here.

lovely shop with delicious cheeses! - Edit
Love this place! The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful, spoke english perfectly and just generally created a great atmosphere. We had the opportunity to test out all of the cheeses they make including a prototype that had only been released for a week! The cheeses are very delicious and taste very similar to non-vegan ones! I was particularly fond of the Jacqueline and Jean-Jacques cheeses. There are plenty of other lovely items in the shop, including sweets, meat and fish alternatives, and other general items! #Veganuary

You must visit - Edit
This is just the most incredible little place. Superb vegan cheese is the star of the show, but there’s all sorts of other vegan produce on sale. Run by a really friendly couple who seem to care a lot about their work. So pleased to hear they’re planning to open in London!

Unmissable! - Edit
Really superb vegan cheese they make themselves, proper cheese counter plus prepackaged cheese and lots of other things (sausage, salmon etc - all vegan obviously!). The person working there was very friendly and helpful, gave us a taste of five cheeses and also recommended other vegan places in Paris. The cheese was all great, our favourite was the blue one but they were all fantastic and varied. We had walked a long way in the heat but it was more than worth it! We're bringing the cheese home on the eurostar (apparently it's usually OK out of the fridge for half a day) but if we went back maybe we'd buy a baguette and make it a picnic in the little nearby park.

The best vegan cheese - Edit
I wish I had the time to drop by the store. I was able to try out their vegan cheeses from a cheese platter starter I ordered from Abattoir Vegetale. The cheeses are amazing, tastes so much like traditional French cheeses that I got scared I had accidentally been fed dairy cheese. I especially loved those with mature flavors (akin to blue cheese).

Great shop, great cheese - Edit
Stopped in today and the woman working was an angel, she let me sample quite a few of their cheeses while she explained each one to me and answered all my questions. They were delicious, very nicely made, lots of flavor and perfect texture. The team did a great job modeling the products off traditional french cheeses, trying them brought back memories from my pre-vegan days... The prices were reasonable as well. I would highly recommend stopping in. The shop also has other vegan grocery products as well.

Jay & Joy - Edit
Extremely lovely vegan cheese shop! The staff offered me a sample of all the vegan cheeses in the deli. I ended up getting the blue cheese, which did not disappoint! I will definitely buy cheese from Jay & Joy again.

Increíble - Edit
Parada obligatoria.

Wonderful little vegan cheese shop/market - Edit
I had a horrible day and decided to pop into Jay & Joy before heading into my apartment. It was a wonderful decision as I had a lovely encounter with one of their workers (Dmitri) and ended up leaving with some delicious cheeses as well as a block of butter. Everything is vegan and mostly organic I believe. I'm elated to have such a lovely shop nearby. Definitely go check them out if you're a vegan in Paris!! #Veganuary

Favorite place in Paris - Edit
It’s a tiny shop with a great selection of all vegan products. They stock their own items, and also some others made by outside companies. The employee who helped me was so sweet, he was fluent in English, and he helped me find an amazing selection for a party. Try the cavi-art (made out of seaweed, it’s insane), the Jeanne (bleu with the perfect texture and flavor), and the joie gras (cruelty free!). I’m already planning my next trip to Paris solely based on my love of this creamery.

Great range - Edit
We picked them up a few vegan cheese from the Jay and Joy shop to have as part of a picnic when we went to the gardens at Versailles. All the cheeses were tasty but the herby soft cheese was amazing.
Read moreI later found some of their products in bio shops elsewhere in Paris but it was good to go to the Jay and Joy shop itself as we were able try a few before we decided which to buy.
They also have some homemade rice milk yoghurt (plain or coconut) which was good.

Finally getting the cheese experience in Paris - vegan version - Edit
I have spent a lot of time in Paris over the past 12 months, but unlike my previous trips to Paris, I have not been able to enjoy a baguette with some cheese. Browsing through, I stumbled across this place and knew I had to check it out. They have made the cheese and baguette experience I was craving come to fruition.
Read moreThere is an impressive range of delicious vegan cheeses on offer and the member of staff was clearly knowledgeable and proud of the cheeses on offer. We felt welcome to try as many as we wanted (we tried 3 - one on his recommendation). Not only is cheese on offer, but some other vegan alternatives (cream etc) from other brands - and again, the member of staff was very knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back here. And the products were all reasonably priced - unexpected bonus!
Pros: Unique delicious product , Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, Reasonably priced
