Cool vibe, good food - Edit
Small restaurant with a retro diner vibe. Lots of craft beers and plenty of vegan options (and some vegetarian options that can be made vegan, but there is an extra cost to sub dairy cheese for vegan cheese). A lot of the dinner options are Text-Mex inspired. I had the “samosarito”, which is a samosa-inspired burrito. It was filling but pretty expensive considering it was just a big burrito. I spent about $50 (including tip) for the samosarito and two beers. The dessert is supposed to be really good, but wasn’t available when I visited.

birthdays & date night - Edit
I've been frequenting Jane Bond for the past 6 years. So many celebrations have happened here. It is a vegetarian joint but they will 'veganize' anything they can. Gluten-free options to. Full bar, weekly events posted on their website. Small patio, weather dependent.

One of my favourite restaurants - Edit
Such a great atmosphere. They have a patio out back and live music many nights. They have a lot of vegan options on the menu and most things can be made vegan. My absolute favourite is the quesadilla. I visited here so many times when I lived in KW!

Good vibe, vegans should be vigilant - Edit
The restaurant has a cool retro vibe. I great place to hang out -- restaurant by day, bar by night (kitchen closes in the evening).
Read moreI've been there a couple of times. When I use to go as a vegetarian, the food and service were excellent. Now that I'm vegan, I've had a couple of problems with servers assuming the dishes they served me were in fact vegan. For example, upon me asking specifically for vegan options on the menu, the server assured me that most of the dishes could be made vegan. But, when I ordered the veggie burger (with side salad without cheese), the bun turned out to have an egg wash unbeknownst to the server.
I do recommend this restaurant, but if you are vegan be on the safe side and assume that the servers are not fully aware of vegan preferences. Inquire with servers as if you are at an omni restaurant.

Very vegan friendly, and great 60s vibe - Edit
I've always loved Jane Bond, even before I went vegan. Their whole menu is vegetarian, and they usually have vegan specials every Friday. There are a few menu items that can be made vegan: Nachos, Smoked Tofu & Three Bean Veggie Chilli, Ratatouille. They also have two items that are always vegan: Coconut Curry, and Jerk Tempeh Burrito. They have amazing cocktails. My favourite is the "New Fashioned."

A bit more spice needed - Edit
This restaurant is a relaxed busy spot with a positive staff. The 2 vegans (I am one of them) thought the dishes we had were a bit bland. The vegetarian thought her meal was just right. There were two vegan choices on the menu and other meal items could be adjusted to be vegan. The soup of the day was vegan; it was very good.

Decent place for dinner and drinks - Edit
I've eaten here a number of times and following the food go be decent, but not great. For example, I find Cafe Pyrus great in comparison. That said, funky atmosphere and nice staff, plus a full bar with craft beer :)

Vegan Friendly - Edit
I was just at Jane Bond last night (July 2015) after having gone vegan 7 months ago.
Read moreThe waitress was very well-informed about the details of the food and was able to guide me to the multiple options available.
There were no vegan desserts, but that's really fine when you think about it. They could go ahead with a few more basic changes to accomodate more vegan options, but I was completely happy as it was.
Pros: Vegan variety, Great music
Cons: Hard surfaces make it too noisy

Fun place for a night out! - Edit
Jane Bond is a great place to go for a date, or just with friends for a night out. The menu isn't huge, but the food is good and their bar is extensive (including various nice wines). The atmosphere is cool and cozy, and they often have entertainment as well.
