Take-out
Ital

Tiny ital food restaurant that's open for lunch. No signage outside, so you will need to ask someone which house it is. The chef/cook will tell you what's vegan. Speciality is a "pizza" which is a whole-wheat pie-style crust with a thick layer of red lentils and cheese on top. Also makes salad, dhal, empanada-style pockets filled with lentils or potatoes, and local fruit or vegetable drinks. Has one big table inside. Large TV on the wall. Open Tue 12:00pm-2:00pm, Thu 12:00pm-2:00pm, Sat-Sun 12:00pm-2:00pm.

delicious

This was a great treat to stumble upon. The service is dynamic and I was able to go right into the kitchen to check things out. I seriously recommend everything.

Cons: not open every day and opening time can vary

welcoming home-come-restaurant

Really delicious little place..with the most original pizza i ever had :D
it was more like a wholemeal lentil pie, served with salad. Can't complain much with such good food and smiling faces... but the TV was playing some american film really loud, and from where i was sitting underneath the TV, I couldn't see it, only hear it loudly. the huge plasma screen isn't really needed, it's the only thing i thought could be improved!

Pros: cheap, delicious, very friendly

Cons: big noisy TV, not easy to find

Most people who live here do not have a tv, unlike Americans. When i lived here that was a thing to do, go to a local shop and watch a movie with your friends. And this is a local restaurant, not tourist oriented. So people will go there and watch tv, as for the volume, maybe the chef was trying to listen from the kitchen. For others who may find the volume loud, just get take away and eat on the street and enjoy the vibes. Glad to hear they're still making the same pie almost 20 years later.
PS Don't think the man rich cause he has big screen tv, I'm sure he's making payments to Courts.
