Neighborhood staple.

Great people, vibe, food and drinks!

Pros: Sold vegan "orc" breakfast sandwich.

local neighborhood coffeehouse with lots of personality

Jackalope is tucked into a cul-de-sac in the Bridgeport neighborhood. Unlike Bridgeport Coffee (which is also excellent but quiet and elegant), Jackalope is loud and flamboyant. I am not sure whether it is a hipster joint or not, but definitely it is targeted to locals on the south side, and I was glad to see an activist newspaper on display there. The food was fine! I don't get to this part of town often, but will return when I can.

Pros: on-street parking in the area was not bad, prices are similar to other places, energetic music playing

Good Coffee Shop food

They have great coffee and I liked the rainbow vegan wrap. Will definitely go back to build my own sandwich as well. Great vibes too.
