my favorite place in Chiang Mai!!

I wish I could just live in this place, delicious delicious cheap food! Buffet style: you can choose 1,2 or 3 dishes to your rice (35, 40 or 45Baht) - you can grab soup and free salad to whatever you're having, try the pumpkin thing if they have it -Definitely try the Khao Soi as well! Lovely staff!! Absolutely love this place - they also have some snacks and desserts for take away

Pros: soooo delicious, soooo cheap, the loveliest people

Great food at a great price

This place was great, basic setting and few options but for 35-40 baht you can get a full tasty vegan meal. Their smoothies are great as well. Would definitely recommend if you’re after cheap but tasty food.

One of the few

Choose usually one or more of five fillings with boiled rice. Optional bonus is watery, but very tasty soup. Tofu sausages, today meat balls, tofu schnitzels as a bonus if you are still hungry. All the deserts are made from coconut milk.
J-station is one of the few vegetarian places in Chiang-Mai that did not bump their price because of location or the veggie-trend. Yet their food is very tasty and portion generous. The style of the place might not suit everybody as it's more for the travelers than tourists, but that is what some people might actually look for.

Pros: price, authenticity

Awesome

Were lucky enough to be staying right around the corner from this place. Food was delicious and serving sizes are big for the price. Limited options, but can't go wrong with what is available. Only 35 thb for rice and 2 other dishes!

Update: My wife ordered the Northern Thailand Curry and as the restaurant was listed VEGAN at that time didn't think to check the noodles used but upon receiving the food asked and was told egg noodles. They did have rice noodles available but now everything has to be questioned.

Small pizzas on display were vegetarian as well as they had mayonnaise on top.

Great place, will be back!

Food was delicious! We had some curries a tofu rice dish and a bowl of khao soi. The women working there gave us some free soup with our meal. Solid place with great service and prices (35, 40 baht per entree) would definitely go back !

Pros: friendly service , complimentary soup

Cons: khao soi was a little cold, but still very good

cheap, quick meal; cold food

Went there around noon and ordered the Khao Soi (35 baht). It was a pretty creamy, but totally cold even though she put it in the microwave for a minute. While I don’t mind cold rice, Khao Soi cold is definitely not good. I prefer Ming Kwan and would only recommend, if you are in that area of the city and need some quick food.

Pros: cheap

Cons: cold food

Favorite restaurant

This is my favorite restaurant for inexpensive Thai vegetarian food. I usually eat something there and take something home. The owner is a very friendly woman with a big smile. She speaks English very well.
Next to food she offers fruit shakes.

Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly staff, Clean

Cons: They do not always have the tasty sausages

Curry and Rice 35 Baht

You can't really beat it for the price, starting as low as 35 baht for curry and rice. They do also have some salad roll boxes and take away snacks. Fresh fruit shakes available too. It's nice to see some healthy options mixed in with basic, cheap Thai food. Eat inside or take away.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Not particularly healthy
