Fake "Fresh Kitchen" - Edit
We just ate our Sunday breakfast at this location off St. Andrews in central Boca. We were optimistic since there is a Fresh Kitchen right by our house in east Boca which we enjoy, but were exceedingly disappointed. The ambience alone seems thrown together and not paticularly clean. The half empty "grab and go" coolers look like they were purchased off Craigslist with dust bunnies fluttering to and fro off the vents at the base. Above the juice bar on the office type ceiling, there are deglected dirty air conditioning vents looming over all the open, fresh veggies and fruit!
Read moreNoone said a word to us (although they saw us) when we first walked in or when we left. The waitress needed a double shot of espresso. She shuffled around like she worked in a school cafeteria. She couldnt offer basic courtesies and seemed dazed by our questions. When we asked if they had brown sugar for my husband's oatmeal she mumbled "we don't have any". My husband asked for an extra coffee mug (since the coffee was almost over-flowing and he couldn't add creamer) and she never brought it. We also asked if they use organic eggs. She shook her head no. No organic eggs? No free range eggs? Just regular old eggs in a "healthy" option restaurant. When the waitress brought out my husbands "sesame ring" aka bagel. It was untoasted and not sliced in half. After attempting and failing to slice it himself with the butter knife provided, we asked her if we could have it sliced and toasted to which she retorted, "There is a knife on the table".
Additionally, there are very little vegan options for breakfast... unless you want a smoothie or acai bowl.
This will be our first and last time at this location.
