Amazing food

The vibe and quality of food were both great! It was easy to understand why it’s always so packed.

Sooo good!

This is one of my favourite places in Cork. Everything I’ve tried has been extremely delicious. The maneesh (flatbread) is perfection!

Delicious authentic Palestinian food in Cork City!

Delicious, fresh food with complex flavours and specifically listed vegan dishes. Loved the taster starter (satisfied our party of six, could be a main meal also). The hummus was so creamy and the avocado hummus was amazing! I had the spinach in pastry - which was ok but not bursting with flavour. The falafel flatbread was amazing.

Visited again in Feb 2024 for lunch. Took home falafel wraps for our family Friday night dinner, they were outstandingly delicious! Saoirse don Phalaistín!!

Good food at a busy restaurant

Delicious food, including some items that aren’t too easy to find beyond private homes outside of the Middle East. I hadn’t had manoosh/manooshet since my Lebanese adult education teacher made it for my tiny class on her last day before moving back to Lebanon several years ago. I also had the stuffed grape leaves and a mug of peppermint tea. Most of the tables were reserved when I stopped by in the mid-afternoon so even though they recently expanded their space, I still recommend booking in advance if possible. The only down side to my visit was when I asked for a takeaway carton for my extra grape leaves and the employee who brought it dropped it on the floor and then picked it up, brought it over, and set it on my table as if it hadn’t just been on the floor. However the owner didn’t see this happen.

Pros: Delicious food and drinks , Lots of clearly marked vegan & vegetarian options , Fast service, even when crowded

Cons: The employee who thinks stuff on the floor is fine

Authentic Palestinian food in Cork 5 stars

A mixture of classic Palestinian food (hummus, falafel, Baba ganoush, etc) and their innovative open flatbread which they call "Manooshet". I had the spinach, falafel and zaatar Manooshet with hummus. All of the bread was packed with classic middle eastern flavours. The texture was light and fluffy. The hummus was absolute top quality: rich, creamy and delightful. They even have vegan desserts including cinnamon rolls and stuffed dates.

Pros: Top quality hummus, Innovative pizza-like flatbread, Vegan desserts

Cons: I wish they had a "mezze for one" option

Five star food

Delicious Palestinian food. If you could show me fresher bread, veg and food in Cork, I'd love to see it. The bread came out to the table steaming, fresh from the oven. The hummus was to die for.

I'd recommend the falafel on flat bread - not Wrap. Much tastier experience, although the wrap is still great.

The sharing appetizer is great for groups.

Come and experience the best Middle Eastern food in Cork city!

Pros: Fresh food, The best hummus

Cons: No water at tables

Authentic and Tasty

Delicious fresh tasty authentic Palestinian food from a clearly labelled menu. Staff are all lovely and the atmosphere relaxed. Focus is on the great food rather pointless frivolity. Can’t wait to try the vegan cinnamon rolls!

Pros: Authentic tasty vegan options, Freshly made with care, Clearly labelled menu

Cons: Limited table space so book ahead, Short on plant milks

Very good!

This place has many vegan options. The food is very delicious and the portions are also quite big. The restaurant is quite small so I recommend booking ahead.

Heck this was good!

Wow the food here was so fresh and tasty! Staff were very kind and gave me a takeaway box when I couldn't finish all my food (portion sizes are massive).

I had the falafel wrap and it had so much flavour and the bread/wrap was incredible. Would definitely eat here again.

Pros: Super fresh and flavourful food, Friendly staff

One of the best in Cork

I wish I could give this place 5 stars. HappyCow does not allow 5 stars on omni restaurants but the vegan options at Izz cafe really are first in class. The restaurant is nice and cosy, the food is incredible, the staff are always polite and friendly. Izz is regularly my first choice when dining in the city, but it’s equally great to enjoy at home.

Pros: Incredible AND affordable , Vegan desserts , Staff

Cons: Nothing

Many vegan and veggie options

Palestinian authentic food with many vegan options on the menu. They do serve some meat but it's only 10% of the menu. They have many cakes but most have dairy products.

Pros: Many vegan options, Great flavours

Cons: They serve meat

Absolut best Price/Quality in Town

For the price you pay you get way enough quantity, top quality ingredients (even the olive oil is awesome) and cherry on the cake every dish gets some presention, nothing fancy but it really shows that the cooks do care about what they serve you and that is something very very rare nowadays especially with restaurants that make take away/delivery. If you try their Falafel Manousheh you will never eat pizza again. 😉👍

Pros: Absolut best Price/Quality in Town

Cons: None
