Delicious but pricey

Delicious donburi, filling and savory, portion size was just right. Can be made vegan. Menu is in English, and staff are native English speakers when we went. The zenzai and kakigori were good too. A little pricey, however. Limited options though (donburi was the only vegetarian main on the menu, but I think you can make requests). And the other menu options (which had meat) had portions that were a bit small

Great

The sandwich wasn't available, but the owner offered me a vegan version of another dish, which was donburi and with tofu instead of egg (which is in the dish normally). The owner is very vegan aware, so that was also really nice. The general atmosphere of the café was really good. They also sell kimonos and other stuff.

Pros: Filling, tasty meal, Vegan aware (and good English!), Calm atmosphere

Cons: None

Mediocre option on an island with limited choice

Read about this place here & other sites and saw they have a vegan sandwich option. We ordered it and it was meant to be marinaded veg, salad and tofu. Firstly there was no tofu & secondly it came with salad dressing which isn't vegan. Luckily I spotted this before eating. They changed it but my new sandwich had barely any veg in it, mainly lettuce. Bread was ok. Side salad was nice but small. Set of sandwich, salad & juice for ¥1000 so not great value. Had to eat elsewhere after! Nice setting though & friendly staff.

Pros: Nice garden

Cons: Only one option , Pricey for what it is

it's okay if you are hungry

We were here because Genmai was out of food.
It said "seven Islands" on the sign outdoor.
The sandwich is okay but not really filling.
The lunch menu (with a little cabbage on the side and Shizo lemonade) costs 1.000y.
I'd try to find another spot next time.
Many mosquitos in the backyard.
