We had a late brunch last weekend and chose ivegan as usual. This time I tried more sandwiches and pizzas. Really really tasty, fresh. Staff are always nice and friendly. Must try. Must visit when you come to Danang.

Great food and atmosphere - Edit
Aesthetically pleasing looking restaurant with great vegan brunch options. Oat latte was great - first place in Vietnam we’ve found that does them. We ordered the wake up smoothie bowl and the fajita bowl, both really good.

Best vegan food … ever - Edit
I visited Danang in this Sep 2023 and ate here every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. The quality of the food is sensational, and I was blown away by the range of options available (I am so used to going to places that have few veg options). The standout meals for me were the vegetable bowls, especially the saigon bowl. I also loved the smoothies and the kombuchas. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden in walking street. Friendly staff and a great ambience.

Nice (western and other) options - Edit
So many options to choose from and a great vibe and atmosphere. I went for the Saigon bowl and loved it. My partner had a burger which looked incredible too. I was worried the portions would be on the smaller side but they were actually quite filling. Desserts were definitely a bit smaller but very tasty (especially the matcha cake)

Strangely familiar menu - Edit
Overall, we were a little disappointed with the food here. Their menu is uncannily similar to Roots Plant-Based Cafe down the road (even down to details like putting grapes in their falafel bowl), which made us wonder if they had any affiliation and therefore raised our expectations. Based on our experience, Roots definitely executed the dishes better.
Read moreThe restaurant itself is quite pretty, the entrance a white stone archway and tall wooden doors leading to a bright little courtyard with seating for about a dozen people. The courtyard is full of plants and gives Mediterranean vibes. There are also a couple of tables inside by the register as well as a larger, air-conditioned room one floor up. Next door, there’s a small iVegan shop where you can purchase kitchenware and various trinkets.
We were eager to try the Let’s Plant patty but made a mistake by ordering the ’Vegan meat burger’ instead, which turned out to be made of beetroot, black bean, mushroom, oat and lentil. A bit of a misleading name! I’m not a fan of beetroot but my partner is, however neither of us liked the burger. The patty was far too sweet and had a strange aftertaste and the sweet potato chips it came with were quite dry. I actually removed the patty from the bun entirely and replaced it with the chips—it was much improved!
We also tried the Caesar salad which was nothing special. The sauce was tasty but tasted nothing like Caesar dressing. Other than that it was quite plain and could’ve done with something like grilled tofu or tempeh on top. Also, maybe it’s just me, but mango and figs do not belong on a Caesar salad.
We had heard good things about their desserts—I particularly fancied the mango cheesecake—but can’t confirm as most of them were sold out (perhaps there’s your answer!). The lime and passionfruit juices we got were nice and fresh. I asked for a touch of sugar syrup in mine to take the sour edge off.
Being an ethically vegan restaurant with such a nice aesthetic and atmosphere, I’d say it still deserves 4 stars despite not loving the food. The menu really does look great, so perhaps we were just unlucky with our choices.
Pros: Ethically vegan 💚, Nice aesthetic ✨
Cons: Underwhelming taste 😕

Instagrammable in the best & worst ways - Edit
The menu looks like a cool magazine and there’s plenty of western food options. The food looks slightly better than it tastes- still good and clean but lacks a bit of a punch. The matcha dessert was small and not at all sweet, which was a shame (for me at least). The place is beautiful but whilst we were there it meant that there was a photo shoot going on the whole time in the court yard which was a bit disruptive as they kept on going in and out of the building, posing for this and that. Not sure if the staff were aware of it or if they had approval for it. Bit pricey (360,000 dong for two bowls, juice, two coffees & a cake)

Lots of western vegan options - Edit
I came here because I was craving a decent vegan burger, which is very difficult to find in Vietnam. I also decided to try a coconut coffee. Both were good but not mind blowing. The burger was tasty, a bit nutty, and beautifully presented. It disintegrated a bit while I was eating it, but less than most hand made vegan burgers. It came with plantain fries, which were excellent. All of the coffee choices were totally western, which as a person who prefers Vietnamese coffee I found a bit disappointing. I’ve yet to find anywhere that does vegan cà phê sữa though, so it’s no surprise. The space is quiet, airy and clean, and the staff were very friendly and polite. I’m not in a hurry to eat here again, but I’d be quite happy to.

There’s a reason it’s so popular - Edit
This is probably the most well known vegan restaurant in Danang, and there’s a reason for it. The food is really good. We visited several times and tried the smoothie bowl, vegan tuna sandwich, burgers, and salad bowl and all were delicious. The smoothie bowl was especially good and quite different from most of the other vegan food you find in Vietnam. We also had the love mug - blueberry muffin one is the best - and some of the vegan cakes. Again, all delicious. Definitely stop by here is you’re in the area. It’s a must-visit for any vegan (and non-vegan!).

Nice decor - Edit
Called in here after reading so many fabulous reviews, I was disappointed in the lack of flavour especially for the price. The avocado toast, could have been made better by adding salt, lemon, and maybe red onion. Also you are paying 40 for 1 small teabag in a small mug, which was a disappointment as any other place give a pot and loose leaves( about 4-6 same sized small mugs). The lentil soup was okay but nothing to write home about.

Enjoyed it - Edit
I had high expectations for this place and while it didn't disappoint me, it was not the best I've had so far in Danang. However, still deserves 5 stars because a) it was still very tasty, and b) the whole concept is great. Very attentive and friendly staff!
