Yummy food and clearly labeled vegan options

I ordered the Sesame Street green and grain bowl, which was delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced! I would definitely order it again! Food prices were reasonable, but my green tea was pricy.

I also love the fact that they utilize solar power and try to source organic/fair trade ingredients. They also have separate garbage, recycling, and food waste bins.

I just wish they had more options with beans or lentils rather than tofu or mock meats. They have a wide variety of vegetarian options, and I would love to see more vegan options!

That being said, this is a great place to go with omnivorous friends/family because there is something for everyone! (I'm still working on some family members who are convinced they dislike vegan food.)

Pros: Delicious organic/fair trade food & drink options, Clearly labeled vegan/vegetarian options, Focus on sustainability/solar powered

Cons: Plastic containers for water/plastic utensils, Limited vegan options, Multiple menus spread throughout (confusing)

Vegan options hit or miss

I wasn’t a huge fan of the breakfast sandwich and did not like the pastry I got either. By the looks of their menu, lunch options would be greatly preferable for vegan choices

Lots of Vegan Options

We went to Ithaca Bakery at Triphammer Mall. We had the chili, chikn parm panini, and a couple of baked desserts. We also ordered a hummus sandwich to go. All was really good! #Veganuary

Enjoyed my bagel

Got the power plant. It was filling and tasty even if it wasn’t the most flavorful bagel sandwich out there. Saying that, would have it again.

was not impressed

for a bakery, the bread and bagels were really not that good. also, they have many vegetarian options, but not many vegan ones when it all comes down to it. i’m wondering if you could try to substitute some of the sauces or cheeses to make the veg options vegan though.

i got two sandwiches because i couldn’t decide between them, and was pretty disappointed with the chicken parm. there was supposed to be basil oil on it and i didn’t really think there was, and the cheese wasn’t melted and it was cold inside.

i probably wouldn’t go back.

Very nice

A lot of vegan options, vegan cream cheese for bagels, vegan mozzarella and Susie's setain for sammys,
Vegan breakfast sandwich "the power plant" with vegan cream cheese, mozzarella, beyond sausage, and JUST egg with arugula.
For paninis -"Plant based parm" panini with vegan chickn on focaccia bread with basil oil and vegan cheese.
For Vegan sammys- they have "Susie's garden" with lemon teriyaki setain, veg cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, sprouts on multigrain bread.
You can also create your own
"NY deli style" with setain and lots of veggies
Saw other options such as soy milk for coffee&teas, avocado toast and gluten free bread
Staff was very helpful

Pros: Lots of vegan options!

Cons: Busy

OK

The Ithaca Bakery has a huge varied menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, so a vegetarian or vegan will find something. The sandwiches are what you’d expect from a quick casual , non-vegetarian place, and a bit pricey for the quality and portion size. We ordered a hummus sandwich and a grilled portobello and vegan cheese sandwich.

Wait time: about 25-30 minutes.

Pros: Multi grain or sourdough bread

Cons: Long wait

Meh sandwich, meh coffee

All around pretty meh. This is an old school coffee spot that has a massive menu and doesn't seem to do anything well. I had their Plant Power sandwich which is Beyond sausage, Just egg, vegan cheese, aioli, and arugula on a bagel. It sounded great but in execution it was pretty mediocre. Of course the products themselves are tasty, but the shreds were not melted and really gross, I'm not even sure what brand they're using but there are wayyy better brands out there these days.

Also there were maybe two sprigs of arugula and it was a pretty tiny sandwich for being $9. I get that Just and Beyond are more expensive items, but the quality of the rest of the sandwich didn't match. With a bigger bagel and more veggies, along with different shreds (or none), it would have been much better. Their other vegan options were just the same old hummus and sprouts sandwich and two vegan baked goods out of a huge baked goods selection. They do have oat milk creamer out for coffee, you'll need a lot of it cuz the coffee is pretty awful..

They have wifi tho and you can hang for as long as you want, so it gets the job done for that purpose. Otherwise, for the food I would not recommend it.

Pros: Wifi, Big space, Some vegan options

Cons: Mediocre food, Bad coffee

Tasty, but busy

Great food and coffee! I love that they included oat milk in their creamer options, and had a lot of vegan options. Be careful visiting on a weekend, though. It gets crowded and very busy.

Messy But Good Vegan

We ordered the Susie’s Garden sandwich and the Veggie Hummus sandwich along with several Vegan baked goods.

ALL the vegan baked goods were amazing (hence the 4stars)!!! BUT the sandwiches were a bit messy and lacked much flavoring. With that said, they were good and they looked impressive.

Pros: Well labeled Vegan options, Well organized, Friendly/Masked staff

Cons: Hard to eat BUT good , Now spices or flavoring

Had a great soy latte & a Suzie’s Garden

Very pleasant. The latte was great & the Suzie’s Garden would have been perfect with a little Veganaise and mustard.

Pros: Fresh, wholesome vegan sandwiches, Pleasant environment, Outdoor seating

Cons: No condiments on sandwich

Clear Menu

The Van Dorn's Vegan sandwich is only $5, and it is loaded with hummus and sprouts, with pickled bell pepper and other tasty stuff. Its my go-to and I have to pull over and get one whenever passing by. They can make custom sandwiches however you like, with lots of tasty options like avocado, marinated portobello, and tofu. Also, they make a tofu-egg sandwich. Also, their sourdough is pretty good, and they have lots of other bread and bagel options.

They claim that their bagels are vegan. I tried one and they are just okay. If you are a bagel-snob, then you won't be too impressed, but they get the job done.

Nice bakery that supports local.

Pros: Local sourcing, Nice veg options, Veggie desserts

Cons: sourdough not very sour

Has potential/good vegan baked options

Well unfortunately I didn't read the previous review, and got the tofu scramble which was really not good (no salt, undercooked). BUT I got the vegan chocolate bundt cake which was excellent. They have 2 vegan sandwich options (which I didn't get, but should have), 2 vegan tofu scramble options (DON'T GET), 2 types of vegan scones, 3 vegan desserts which all looked good. I also got a good soy latte. People were really nice and helpful. I liked the ambiance.

Pros: good vegan baked goods, 2 vegan sandwich options

Cons: they don't know how to make tofu scramble

Meh

I LOVE tofu scramble but I got their Tofu 4 U wrap with tofu scram and it was pretty gross. It had a sour tofu taste to it. I also ordered a bagel with tofutti and they gave me regular cream cheese initially and I had to correct them. Kinda bummed since we drove way out of the way to get here as it's one of the few places that serves vegan food in the area.

Pros: Hot food, Corrected order, Parking

Cons: Sour tofu, Wait, Mistakes with order
