A lot of vegan options - Edit
I have eaten here 4 times. There are 11 vegan Indian options on the menu for starters and main course, and they are clearly marked. The staff are very welcoming and efficient. Highly recommended.

I was there for dinner last night. I was amazed by all the vegan options available. I decided to order the tikka masala because it said on the menu that it has "meatballs". When it arrived on the table it has only frozen vegetebles, no meatballs. There was no apologize at all or suggestions about changing the dish. Then I was observing my bottle of beer and I saw it was expired. Again, I told the staff and there was no apologize at all. When I was paying I said that I didn't want to pay for the things they served wrong or for the expired beer. After a long and confusion conversation between the staff they had an arrogant attitude and, again, didn't apologize. The only good thing was that after a while they accepted and even offered the all dinner.

This restaurant is a little gem tucked in old traditional Viseu.
Read moreUpon me asking if a dish had butter or cream, the super friendly waiter immediately asked if I was looking for vegan food and started pointing out which dishes on the menu were vegan or which could be made vegan (e.g. by replacing paneer with potato).
It is just so uncommon to find such a warm and sharp treatment, especially in Viseu, I was really moved.
Then the food came and it's all you're entitled too, the lovely spices, smells, fresh, crunchy, colourful!
Indian might not be on top of your list when visiting Portugal but if you're around Viseu please do reconsider!
Also, if you're not familiar with the Italian-Indian concept, it's all related to the tandoori oven, also great for pizzas :-)
