Food for the body and kind vibes for spirit - Edit
To be accommodated and have people make with such care food and smoothies with kindness and compassion is a wonderful thing in life, what it really is all about. One of the best smoothies I've ever had. The food we ordered all hit the spot and they were willing to omit our allergens/sensitivities.

Are these guys still there? I messaged them and they said they are out of state and said if I could delete or close this location to do it.

If that was the word, I was merely passing through. Grateful for the meal though, they were very accommodating, which is tricky apparently along the 101. I could go for one of their juices about now though

Loved It - Edit
So yummy! We had the drumsticks, cauliflower, and tropical smoothie. It was all bold and flavorful and it hit the spot. They were in Hopland- I think it might be a permanent spot. Check their Instagram in case!

So much variety on such a small menu! Our visit to Island Spice , despite almost missing it in this small town, (it’s in an area w other food trucks, a bit back from the street)was worth the challenge! We tried the BBQ nuggets, lemon pepper drumstick, fried cauliflower and fries. All very well cooked to order ; just regret they were out of fried plantains. Though I’m not a bbq fan, I really liked the bbq nuggets, and the additional sauce: 2 versions jerk or regular. The drumstick was nicely flavored without being overpowering, the fries were good, but my fav was the cauliflower; crispy without being greasy and addictive enough that I had to restrain myself from eating the entire portion in one sitting.

This place is EXCELLENT - Edit
Oh my gosh everybody. Seriously. The steak and cheese is savory, spicy, with a hint of sweet. The plantains are PERFECT. The fried cauliflower blew us away. Even the kale- whatever the dressing is is sooo gooood! All the food has incredible flavor balance. Yuuuuuuum!

This little green food truck houses amazingly delicious vegan Jamaican style fare and incredibly kind staff in accompaniment. Of note, the Island Spice Burger, fried plantains, and garlic kale. Yum!

Yummy food - Edit
After a 5 mile hike at lake Mendocino we came here for lunch.
Read moreWife ordered the Mendo cheez steak sandwich. I had the Island spice burger, fries and split the bbq drumsticks.
The spice burger was one of the best plant based burgers I’ve had. Bbq drumsticks were yummy too. Fries were ok.
Wife was real happy with her choice too.
The chef let us try the Cauliflower and plantains. Both very good too.
When we were leaving they turned up the music. Guess our timing was good😜
Dropped off a couple Happy Cow Excellent stickers

We finally got to try Island Spice Vegan tonight and it was DELICIOUS!!! We had jerk wings, sweet potatoes fries, the daily greens which was garlic kale and the house made tamarind drink. Amazing flavors, super fresh and great service. We look forward to going back many many times in the future. Thank you so much Island Spice Vegan for bringing new interesting and fresh food to Ukiah!
