food was not the best, rude service

We had been driving for 6 hours and were very excited to arrive and order. We arrived close to closing (but not at closing, and I made sure it was still ok to order), and the cashier was so rude. We weren't even there for one minute, and she was already annoyed at my children for taking too long to order, looking at her watch and hurrying us along. It stressed my husband out so much that he ended up not ordering anything, and I also didn't order for the same reason. But, I wanted to feed my kids, who were hungry. My daughter ordered the chickpea salad. My son ordered the roasted roots wrap. Chickpea salad was bland and only ok. My daughter didn't like it very much, so my husband finished it, and he didn't love it either. The roasted roots wrap was overly salty. My son only ate half because he thought it was too salty, and I finished it and thought the same. I wanted to order some eagle claws for a treat, but ended up not doing it because I felt so uncomfortable asking to add anything onto our order. I just wanted to get the food and get out of there! We were so excited about fresh, healthy options, but were disappointed.

Pros: good variety of labelled vegan options, fresh food, had a vegan treat option

Cons: not the tastiest, unfriendly service, no gluten free vegan options

Hard to find, but good

I had a delicious vegan chickpea salad sandwich. I found this place on HC as I was passing through town and didn't realize it's way back in a big park. They want a $10 donation to get into the park but will let you in without it. Not exactly a convenient stop off the interstate, but if you came to hike the trails and hang out in the park, it's a beautiful place.

Pros: Outdoor seating, beautiful location.

Cons: Out of the way, no indoor seating.

Reconnect

This place is so lovely, we go here for lunch after a long day of hiking! Their selection is always fresh and cozy. Various vegan selections, but the best is the chickpea salad sandwich! They have specials, most the time include vegan options. You also get large portions for the price.

Pros: Homemade/Fresh/Local, Good food, Great atmosphere
