It was good but also a little weird - Edit
You just sit down and scan a code and then get the food
Read moreThe outdoor seating area was really nice !
The options were fine, price wise kinda expensive for little portions.
And it's all disposable cutlery and bowls. Not very environmentally friendly. The person that brought the food out was super nice, but I wouldnt go again

Great vegan options! - Edit
This is a great place if you’re looking for quick, cheap vegan options. Vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu, and the staff was helpful in telling us which breads were vegan. The vegetable special (two sides, rice, and chickpeas) was cheap and enough to split between two people. I recommend the garlic roti and the cauliflower.

Good food, room for improvement - Edit
Meat-serving place with vegan/veggie options. It’s a very casual place where you order with a QR code and bus the table yourself, so I was frustrated that our food took 45 minutes to appear when tables that came in after us were being served almost immediately. The portions were smaller than I expected given the price, but the food was tasty.

Several vegan options clearly labeled - Edit
I like Indigo because of the abundance of options. I always try something new and nothing has disappointed me yet. The mushroom n peas, smoky eggplant, and the potato dishes are among my favorites. They all come with chickpeas and rice. Good deal overall, and their outdoor seating looks cool.

Best Indian food in DC - Edit
It's not fancy but it tastes amazing. They don't always put the thalis on the menu so do ask if you don't see it. They have so many great choices, and vegetarian and vegan are both clearly marked individually.

Such a good vegan meal - Edit
I love their veggie platter with potatoes, peas, and eggplant. Comes with rice and beans. I get a garlic roti on the side. The business is family owned and home to a friendly staff. I come here almost once a week, it’s that good.

Indian flavor flair - Edit
Indigo is a must go to eatery around the H Street corridor. It is just off the beaten path, but that doesn't stop this place from being crazy busy almost all the time it's open.
Read moreWhen you walk inside Indigo, you will feel transported to another place. The walls are adorned with beautiful words of thanks from patrons and inspirational quotes/ sayings from the proprietors. The flat screen tv on the front wall plays Bollywood pop music videos with sound to round out the full experience. There are a few tables inside, but when the weather allows, the outdoor seating increases seating by 3-4 fold. The wall of the menu may be overwhelming in its chalkboard mom and pop style boxed off list of items, but for vegans, it's easy! Look to the veg corner, which itself is split into vegan and vegetarian. Awesome.
Dishes are unique among Indian offerings in DC, along with traditional dishes. If you are ordering to go, you can call ahead or order there: one side or a vegan plate of chickpeas and rice with your choice of two more dishes. It's pretty fairly priced, and the flavors are lovely. If you order the thali, with 5 choices and rice, you have to eat it in the restaurant. If you really want more food, just order two of the $11 options and add a side. Ha ha! They also have wraps and bread- ask which ones are vegan, as there are a few.
The vegan dishes vary but generally number around 10 choices like pumpkin (top 3!), okra, potatoes, peas with mushrooms, cauliflower (my fav!), green beans (second fav), chick peas, eggplant, cabbage and zucchini. If you order the $11 rice with chickpeas plus 2 sides, you will be happy and satisfied. The thali has a little bit more food but more variety: however, some of the sauces taste similar, so I prefer just the $11 option. Yum! Oh, samosas too!
Pros: Great vegan choices, Pumpkin, green bean and cauliflower!, Fast!
Cons: Can be really busy, Can't order thali to go
