I recently ate here on the way to the airport leaving town. The atmosphere and service were both great. I had the lunch buffet which had quite a few vegetarian, though not necessarily vegan, choices. The naan bread they brought to the table was some of the best I have ever had, though it may have been brushed with ghee (clarified butter). This was no problem for me as a lacto-vegetarian. The vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees were somewhat separated, with one on the right and the other on the left, though they "met" in the middle. I am not sure if it was a fortuitous coincidence or intentional that where they met they had the vegetarian one in the back and the non vegetarian one in front, so it would be less likely to get meat in the vegetarian entree. It would be a great place to go if you have a mixed (vegetarian and non vegetarian) group of people.
The neighborhood location gives it a hip, cozy feel.
I would definitely go back.
This restaurant is our of our favorites! They have been extremely accomodating to our diet and have even put together a vegan menu that has several options - our favorites are Aloo Gobhi and Baigan Bhartha. You can call ahead (preferred) or notify them upon arrival that you will need vegan rice. They also have a nice martini bar upstairs. http://www.indiaspearl.com/
Note: This is a 5 cow restaurant, but Happy Cow will only let me rate them 4 (non-vegetarian).
