ITR Leeds

Update:
Have been back a few times. Always good. Most recently June 2023.

—-
A vibrant colourful space with bright decor. A mixture of booth and table seating. Very popular on weekends.

I’ve been twice to eat here - most recently in July 2021. The food is really good, a separate VG menu, selection of decent beers. Lots of cocktails if you’re into that sort of thing.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. The four of us all enjoyed our visit.

I’m a Dosa fan so had that and really enjoyed it.

5 star service (HappyCow would only let me do 4)

Incredible food, cocktails and service! Very rare to have such a great experience with no cons at a restaurant but this was one of them, server was so knowledgeable about the dishes and 2 of our party being vegan was totally fine and we had loads of choice for both vegans and non, and all the food was delicious, the same amount of effort was shown to all the dishes and the flavours were incredible.

Will definitely be back and also recommending to anyone I know who's going to Leeds!

Pros: The food, flavours and presentation, The service, The cocktails

Very delicious

Separate vegan menu, and the food was so delicious. The Madurai dosa especially. Really nice cocktails, also labelled with allergens dairy and eggs and honey

Plenty of vegan options

The separate vegan menu was great but you have to ask for it specifically.

The normal menu doesn't make it clear which dishes are vegan.

The food was delicious but quite expensive. A pint of lager was £6.60 which is steep even for the city centre.

Delicious but expensive

I always walk past this place but didn’t realise it was there until I searched for good vegan Indian food in Leeds.
First of all, it’s on a very loud street which put me off at the beginning but when inside the atmosphere was totally different.
The interior was great and we were served very quickly - they also have a full separate vegan menu.
To start we got Okra fries and the Mysore Bonda which was a crunchy lentil fritter.
The okra fries were great but the Mysore Bonda was a new texture and flavour to me. It confused me at first but I liked it, the chutney it came with were perfect for it l.
Then for mains we got the Dal Makhani and the Channa Batura. The dal was so rich and creamy and the rice it came with was so fluffy. The Channa came with chickpea masala and was so delicious but huge!!
Everything was too big and we were unable to eat a lot of it.
The food was good but the price wasn’t. When we came to the end of it, it was £55 with a glass of coke being £5🙃
Felt like it shouldn’t have been that much as we go to many restaurants serving similar food and never pay this much usually.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive

Extra vegan menu on request

After we were driven away by the extremely loud party music from the venue nearby at saturday we came back on sunday and had a loveley dinner on the terrace. After we asked about which dishes are vegan we were brought a special only vegan menu. We had homemade Samosa, vegan Biryani and Channa Batura. All of it were very tasty and more than we could finish. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. I really recommend this place (but not on saturdays unless you fancy bad techno from over the street).
