Vegan Heaven!! - Edit
There are so many vegan options and options that can easily be made vegan with simple substitutes. We ordered the Manchurian Gobi and it was literally the best meal I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. Highly recommended!

Mediocre - Edit
I was expecting a lot from this place because I love South Indian cuisine-but I usually have it homemade so maybe I just have high standards. Had a vegan mysore masala dosa. It was fairly mediocre…there’s better places for certain. If you wanna try more Indian cuisine, it’s a good place to start since there’s tons of options and they explain them in fine print. But don’t expect it to be the best of the best.

I don’t agree with you at all. You’re misleading people. Their food is just as good as any of the 100+ Indian restaurants I’ve eaten at

Unique! - Edit
A very unique menu that leaves no stone unturned, there are certainly no lack of options! Vegetarian choices are printed in green, vegan options are pretty easy to decipher if you’re familiar with Indian and Chinese cuisine. Food was delicious!

Spicy - Edit
Very tasty and flavorful dishes. They have a good selection of dosas that come with a variety of chutneys. Be aware that a lot of their foods are on the spicy side. My favorite are the dumplings in yogurt sauce.

Unfortunately they are serving non veg dishes now. Another restaurant that I won't be able to eat at. Too bad.

Refused to fix their mistake. They added dairy. - Edit
They refused to remake my food after they added ghee for no reason. 30 dollars directly into the trash. Very rude people and clearly don't care for allergens.

Yummy - Edit
Would give 5 stars if happy cow let me. The chaat is awesommee, especially the aloo Tikka chaat. I order it without yogurt and get roti on the side (no ghee) and eat it with the chaat. Delicioussss. Some of the chaats are cold but this one is warm.

Literal garbage
Read moreWhen you literally get inedible food and are told they will not remake it - you know it’s a trash business. When a customer gives you an opportunity to make it right and you don’t, you will lose customers. I ordered the cheapest thing to make (a dosa) - it would have taken 2 minutes and $1 to make it right and this business opted not to. Gave me soggy, disgusting food, served with a side of horrible service.

Best Indian Food - Edit
This was the best Indian food I have ever had. The samosas are just amazing.
Read moreI asked the guy behind the counter what vegan dishes he recommended, and I don't know the name of what I got, but it was the bomb.
My husband is not vegan and the man made sure to point out that a sauce in our takeout bag was not vegan and that I shouldn't eat it, before we left which was very thoughtful of him.
Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Clean

Best Indian I’ve had. - Edit
We have eaten at many Indian restaurants and mostly like them all, but This. Place. Right. Here. Y’all! Sooo good! Apparently they have a new menu, and the veg options were clearly marked. Even better the waiter was very knowledgeable on veganism. We had the Chefs special (avail daily) Chloey Kulcha and the Batata Vata as an app. The rice portion was a bit small, so we ordered another side of it which was $2.00. The spices they use was unlike any we’ve had. It was amazing! It was all enough for both of us to be pretty full. Place was clean (bathroom was nice too), food was served swiftly and staff was friendly. We left full, happy and very appreciative. This is a must visit!

Disappointing - Edit
We like vegetarian/vegan South Indian food, and this place was the real deal before it changed to non-veg. We went there previously for family meals, and upon entering the establishment were impressed by the friendly, welcoming reception from the staff, the light, spacious restaurant, nice decor, comfortable seating, and pleasant atmosphere - this was before they started serving non-veg, which of course has a negative effect on the whole ambience. The menu previously offered plenty of vegetarian/vegan variety, with those preparations available as vegan clearly marked. A big plus for me was that many items were also available without onions and garlic, and those are also clearly indicated on the menu. Prices were reasonable. We had two masala dosas, a thali, ildi and sambar, and a couple of orders of vegan samosas with chutney. All the food arrived quickly, was served hot, and was delicious. Indian Street Food is easy to find, has ample parking. While it started out as a dedicated vegetarian/vegan establishment, it has since converted to vegetarian and non-vegetarian, which for me is a deal breaker, as I don't eat anywhere that isn't pure vegan or at least vegetarian, so I will not be returning, unfortunately. It was good in its original incarnation, and I went there a few times, but I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

Great food and very filling. - Edit
The vegan options are marked on the menu and if there's any question you can ask. I even called after the fact to double-check that something was vegan and it was confirmed. The food itself is amazing! Very very flavorful some dishes have some kick so be careful if you're not tolerant to it. And the serving sizes are plenty large. You will leave full.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Food is very flavorful and you get plenty., Off of 34th so parking is a breeze
