Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers Northern Indian cuisine, including several vegan appetizers and entrees. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-2:30pm, 5:00pm-10:00pm.
We ordered a variety of appetizers & entrees. The Dal Ka Shorba was a pureed, very brothy lentil soup. It would be good paired with roti bread if you wanted a really light lunch. The owners said their nan bread is prepared with milk but the roti is dairy-free. The vegetable samosa was delicious but I'm not sure if I should order it again because I forgot to ask if they use a shared fryer. The Gobi Manchurian (breaded, fried cauliflower) was good but it tasted somewhat like chicken, I just don't know if it was my imagination or not. I would have to ask them how it is prepared before ordering next time. The Vegetable Biryani (seasoned veggie rice) was very good and a large portion. Our absolute favorite dish was the Aloo Gobi (highly recommend!) which is "potatoes and cauliflower cooked with tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and herbs" a comforting dish that is very flavorful, colorful and delicious. It comes with white rice. I will definitely order the Aloo Gobi and Roti Bread again. The owners were very nice, I would just ask a few more questions about food preparation etc. to make sure there is no cross-contamination etc in certain dishes. Otherwise this is a very good Indian food option for vegan people in the far western suburbs.
