I couldn’t find anything super local, so I checked out this spot thanks to HappyCow. I ordered the samosas and the yellow Dahl. Both were pretty good. All vegan options are clearly marked. They automatically brought the two sauces to the table for the samosas. I indicated when I sat down that I was vegan, but he didn’t mention the white-colored sauce was dairy-based. Luckily I didn’t eat it, because the color sketched me out and I automatically assumed it wasn’t vegan, but hoped it was coconut based, or something. It would have been nice to have been told that it had dairy in it when he brought it though. Others may eat it and not know.
Read moreI was the only costumer and the ambience was a tad “off”, but for convenience in this area, it’s pretty good. The food was served in to-go containers which I found odd, but sure made it convenient when I took my leftovers back to the hotel with me.

Many Offerings and Delicious - Edit
This may be a small restaurant but the food has big flavor! There are so many vegan and vegetarian options it may be a little overwhelming on your first visit. When I actually went to order something non vegan, the waitress was polite and prompt in telling me so AND offering an alternative. I would give the restaurant 5 star rating if I could.

Easiest menu to navigate! Very clearly marked vegetarian and vegan items. Food tasted amazing and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It's a small dining space with a cozy atmosphere. All the vegetarian/ vegan options were delicious. So glad I found this jewel in Plainfield, nice crowd for lunch also.

Indian Bistro Is Awesome - Edit
Contemporary little place for lunch or very casual dinning. The food was excellent, and the staff member was extremely helpful especially to this plant based newby. Will definitely be back the next time I travel through the Indy area.
