Bueno, bonito y barato - Edit
Local bonito, más grande de lo que aparenta por fuera, con varias opciones a elegir. Pedí ensalada, una lasaña y un postre a muy buen precio y en muy buenas porciones. Muy recomendado!

Good home cooked food - Edit
The food was quite good, but the restaurant itself was somewhat chaotic as many patrons did not understand that you pay first then fetch your own desserts and drinks and dishes.

Fantastic place - Edit
We had an incredible meal here - really recommend. We turned up without a reservation but they fitted us in, in a covered outdoor space at the back. It opens at 7.30pm and there was a queue of folk waiting to get in. Lovely inside. Very efficient to order - write down what you want from the menu, pay in advance at the till. Food is brought quickly. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very imaginative food, huge portions. Also delicious desserts.

So delicious!!!!! - Edit
They have a vegetarian/vegan menu that changes daily with about 10 items and at least half clearly marked vegan. I had black bean and aubergine caponata with turmeric rice, bay onions and baked yellow pumpkin (15€). It had what I think was seitan with pumpkin seeds in it with the aubergine. It was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten. They gave us the menu (in English) and we had to write what we wanted and then go to the register and pay. Then very quickly (small menu and I guess everything cooked and ready to serve) the food arrived. Prices were very reasonable. My omni friend had lasagna (11€) and said it was delicious. Coperta €1.50 each and a glass of wine €2.50. It is a very popular restaurant and you would do well to reserve a table.

The best food I had in Italy - Edit
No words can explain how great the food was, ESPECIALLY the salad bar. The vegan mayo they use is divine. It gets so busy so highly recommend reserving in advance. Come hungry as portions are great.

Not all vegan but very good all the same! - Edit
We ended up here because the local all vegan place was closed for some holiday. Probably their loss and our gain. This place is a bit wacky with its ordering system and very busy - best to book first we were lucky! - but all the vegan opotions I was able to test were very impressive and the cakes of which we sampled 5 were superb!. The cake slices were generous too!
Read moreI'm told the house wine was good as well so yes with many vegan options and friendly staff(a couple didn't do much English) this is a great restaurant!

Huge portions of lovely food - Edit
Great informal atmosphere with characterful staff.
Read moreWe really enjoyed food here. You write what you want then go and pay at the till.
Good wine that was recommended to us @€18.
Food very tasty. If you order the salad beware it’s a bowl that is filled at the counter to the top. It’s lovely but very large.
All dishes were large. We really ordered too much as we didn’t know the portion sizes.
We ordered pudding and this was the least favourite part of the meal as they were all a little dry if you had the vegan option because there was no vegan cream, yoghurt etc.
Pros: Loads of choice, Very good atmosphere and lovely servers, Great prices
Cons: Huge portions , Puddings needed cream, sauce or yoghurt etc

A lot of good vegetarian food - Edit
Il Vegetariano is a great place to eat a lot of cheap vegetarian food in the centre of Florence.
Read moreThe restaurant has a "rustic" organization: you place your order and pay for it, then you collect the food, you look for a table to sit down and you consume your meal.
Portions are huge, there is a wide choice, and vegan options are well indicated, wine is good and there are also many different cakes (some are vegan). The courtyard is fantastic and the atmosphere is supwr friendly. It can be quite busy at lunchtime, but turnover is quick.
One example: tonight we paid 26 euros in total for two main dishes (seitan with rice, mushrooms and salad), 1/4 L of red wine, natural water and an apple pie slice.

Buon ristorantino buono ed economico! - Edit

What a delicious and delightful meal we had here in the lovely garden area out the back of the restaurant.
Read moreWe started the meal with a huge bowl of salad & cooked veggies which you can choose yourself from their cabinet, including a large spoon of delicious vegan mayonnaise. Incredibly generous for just €7 too!
About half their main courses are vegan and while they were sold out of the seitan (our first choice) the two we ordered - Mexican style bean and rice, and eggplant pasta - were both generous in size and absolutely delicious.
The food is “home style” - no spectacular designs or presentation - but made with love and attention to details so that everything tastes fantastic.
And the sachertorte for dessert was amazing too - though they have so many vegan cake options it was hard to choose!!
(Plus all the staff were lovely and friendly!)

Nice place and good quality, but... - Edit
Place with no frills, cozy atmosphere. Food was tasty and of good quality, but was served not hot enough. (perhaps due to a too short reheating).
Read moreTo conclude, I agree with a previous review: the prices seemed to me a little high for the general value (also considering that the restaurant is not full-service). However it deserves another visit.

A peculiar experience, but one I enjoyed - Edit
A popular place with locals, with staff and customers seeming to know each other well and little English is spoken. Often has a few people waiting outside as the restaurant hasnt opened on time, and we had to knock! 10 mins later they opened.
Read moreDespite language barrier, staff were friendly and accommodating, and tried to translate.
The place gets full easily so you may wish to make a reservation. The menu may also change regularly; there were 4 primo and 4 secondi options when I went. Primo and secondi courses ranged between €8 and €12 from memory. €1 cover charge.
You have to sit down, order, pay and then get served. I ordered a mushroom lasagne which was incredible. The pumpkin and spinach strudel (like a calzone) was not good. Portion size is good here.

A classic in Florence but quite low value - Edit
My low stars review is because the food is devent but the price is too high for tge value. Nothing is cooked to order but everything is already cooked and re-heated (microwave?) before serving.

Generous portions - Edit
Popular with locals in the evening especially at weekends, this place is worth a visit. Go through to the back and you will find a blackboard with vegan items marked with a green star. Bag yourself a table, choose what you want, pay at the desk next to the menu, and it will be brought to you. You’ll need to grab a glass and some cutlery from the cabinet to the right of the till. We went twice- once for lunch and once for evening meal - enjoyed both. Casual, bohemian- type vibe .
Read morePros: Plenty of vegan choice. , Generous portions ., Long established veggie restaurant
Cons: No English menu but staff will help.
