Elegant, nice and great food - Edit
If you are in the city centre and you want to spoil yourself, that's the place for you! The Margutta restaurant is not only "a restaurant", it's a cuddle, a place where you can rest and enjoy the food.
Read moreThey have a vegan/vegetarian buffet formula during the week, for lunch and in the evening you can eat a la carte. The buffet formula includes a dessert and drinks and it is fairly cheap ( it should be about 15 euros).. The prices change in the evening and it becomes really expensive. Ah! The desserts are amazing!

Brunch buffet - Edit
My husband and I had the brunch buffet- we loved most everything we had! It was hard to tell by sight if some things were vegan vs vegetarian but the staff was omnipresent and helpful. We arrived before opening but they still seated us and made us coffees while we waited. Very good food great service.

Reservations not honored - Edit
This restaurant refuses to honor reservations and lies to your face when you show up on time with your family. Their lack of ethics in management likely means a lack of ethics elsewhere... maybe their food contents? Vegan friends, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Delicious veggie foood in a comfortable restaurant - Edit
I had a romantic dinner for two here this week. We were given a great corner table that could have seated 6. The menu is contained within a magazine about the gallery. This is a vegetarian restaurant and the many vegan options are clearly marked.
Read moreWe both ate the "Vegan Emphasis" tasting menu for 50 euro each. A tray of home made vegan bread was provided for free. Menu was; amuse bouche, artichoke carpaccio with a breaded tofu finger, cauliflower cream (a yummy soup), macaroni in a tasty sauce, slices of seitan with spinach and a delicious orange sauce, peanut cream. We had Vietti Nebbiolo wine 32 euro, which was marked vegan on the wine list. It was tasty and the bottle label was also marked vegan.

Needs a remodel - Edit
I think the most famous vegan part of this restaurant is the vegan buffet which I didn’t go to. I had dinner here and the waitresses were unsure if the vegan food I ordered was even vegan.

Buffet vegetariano e vegano variato e buono in ottima posizione centrale - Edit

Vegan fancy dining - Edit
Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this place across the board, had a lovely experience. My wife and I both split the panzanella, truffle & black garlic pasta (must try), vegan pesto pasta (herbaceous), and the seitan paillard (kind of smoky, grilled and steak-like). Mango option for dessert was like a mango cheesecake, totally melt in your mouth delicious. Presentation was beautiful throughout and all staff was pleasant.

Fine vegetarian dining - Edit
The experience of fine vegetarian dining was tempting. And we glad we bit into this temptation. Pure dolce vita experience. The food was exquisite and we decided to try everything - literally.

Things were a bit slow to kick off. Menu arrived late and the order taking seemed eternal. Bread was offered as peace to make up.
Once the manager was out of the scene the things improved really quick. The staff were very attentive and kind to our needs.
If you want a vegan or vegetarian experience this is the place to be.
Highly recommend- watch out for the burn on your card. We consciously chose to splurge so not shocked by the bill. But you could easily do 4 dinners for 2 at this price.
Pros: Vegan delight, Organic goodness, Excellent innovative food
Cons: Pricey, Manager is not attentive, Serving is not ample

Posh restaurant with nice food, expensive bread - Edit
We had dinner at this fancy restaurant. The food was fairly tasty for the adults. My kids wouldn’t eat anything. I read that the vegetarian dishes were better than the vegan ones. The vegan dishes I had were actually very good. The seitan and a bread and tomato appetizer. I was warned about the bread cost and it happened to us to. They brought us a plate of assorted bread and charged us 8 euros for it. (We did not even finish half). Ouch. In general meal was pricy but you’d pay at least as much for an omni restaurant of this decor and service.

Cozy spot in the centre of Rome - Edit
On the outside, it doesn't look like much, but this restaurant is very inviting as soon as you step foot inside. Their meals are reasonably priced (lunch is buffet only, 2 plates, a dessert and a can of water for 15 euro) and their staff is very friendly.
Read moreThe vegan food is mostly a hit or miss, it tastes okay, but it isn't really spectacular. According to my vegetarian friend, the vegetarian items are more tasteful.

Some good dishes - Edit
Came here for my Dinner on my birthday and were some hits and misses. Two of our vegan starters were quite bland and the third vegetarian one was really tasty. We ordered two different pasta dishes for the mains and they were both tasty but nothing overly special for the price we paid.

High end - Edit
A higher end restaurant where the service is great, food is great too but expensive and smaller portions (hence the ‘art’ factor). Perfect if you like fine dining and different food options, but not great if you want a hunk of vegan food to fill you up.

Best vegan meal in Rome - Edit
Best fully vegan meal I've had in Rome! My friend and I split the vegan seitan cutlets with rice noodles and a pesto pasta dish. Was not cheap but was surprisingly filling for the portion sizes and was a nice change to marinara pizza and pomodoro pasta. The vegan cheese on the pasta was really delicious and high quality. Fancy atmosphere inside the restaurant that felt a little unwelcoming at first, but would probably be different if you ate there for lunch or brunch. I would be curious to try their vegan tasting menu and would definitely go back again!

Excellent Italian Fare All with Vegitables - Edit
What a lovely surprise across the street from the restaurant that the Hassler Hotel concierge recommended to us. The signs and interior drew us in without reservation we were seated and enjoyed first rate cocktails from their extensive list of unique and rational offerings. This gave us time to absorb their extensive menu of all vegetarian and vegan offerings and options and to read the Happy Cow reviews. Our server steered us to several perfect options which we shared. Everything was perfect - the surprise amuse Boucher arrived was a treat, the presentations were delightful and we scraped the plate with the excellent bread. We were much too full to order a desert... which we will return to try another time.
