Delicious, wholesome food in lovely ambiente - Edit
We had the best vegan meals here, which came opulent and perfectly seasoned and spiced. Slightly more expensive than your standard almuerzo but worth every peso. Especially considering that ingredients are organic and local(: The place is super inviting, with nice music and a calming little wall waterfall. Came here twice and would have continued coming if we stayed longer in santa Marta- also cause we still haven't exhausted their many vegan options, with varieties for every gusto. Rrrrriquissimo!

Good options! - Edit
Tons of vegan options and excellent tea! It is a really nice place to hang out as well. They are frequently out of some of their dishes, however, which is my only complaint

Nice deserts - Edit
We went there to eat the vegan ice cream and a brownie. Unfortunately they were out of the ice cream, which we heard seems to be pretty tasty. The vegan brownie was very tasty. The other deserts seemed pretty tasty too. The prices are ok but definitely made for tourists.

Meh, ok. - Edit
Very nice place. Very nice staff. But the food was... ok. And that the two times I went. The humus wasn’t that good (and I mean it’s humus... not hard!) and the chocolate brownie wasn’t tasty at all. The salad I took was good though. Not amazing. But good. Same with the veg burger. I would go back for the nice staff and location. But don’t expect wows with food.

Great atmosphere, good food and service - Edit
Went to this place twice a day for a couple of days after having checked out a variety of other vegan restaurant in Santa Marta. This one tops all of them for location, service and delicious food. The menu has a big variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes for a very fair price. Best variety of vegan desserts I have found for a long time. Made me addicted.
Read moreLocation is right off Parque de los Novios in the old center of Santa Marta. Open until 10 pm, kitchen closes at 9:30. The Venezuelan waiter is awesome, perfect service, very caring.
Very fair prices, 20-28k for a main dish. I don't consider this expensive as others have mentioned. That's 7 USD or 6€, for this you get just trash like a cheap burger in the US (without tax and tip) or Europe, so no complaints from my side.
All in all highly recommended.
Pros: Variety of dishes, great location, good service

Not great food for dinner - Edit
I have friends going there for breakfast/lunch and they loved it, I went there at night. I had the portobello hamburger that was alright, a bit dried; and my friend had the pad thai, that was ok but doesn’t taste at all like a pad Thai. Service was quite slow, especially for the bill, we had to run after the waiter to get it. I’ll give it another try for breakfast/lunch.

Vegetarian place with many items clearly marked as vegan. The staff are so so nice and have excellent english. The coffee is the best I've ever had (I had flat white with almond milk and it was 6000 pesos) food is also delicious, MUST VISIT

The menu is very versatile (Asian, Italian, columbian) and has lots of vegan options or you just ask for vegan. Desserts are mainly non vegan.

So good, I ate here 3 times in 24 hours - Edit
Great food - with a wide vegan selection, including breakfast options. I enjoyed my lunch so much I came back for dinner that night and breakfast the next morning! Not cheap but food is really good. My favourite was the Thai spiced pumpkin soup, followed by the vegan panna cotta. Just wish I had saved room for the vegan ice cream!

Delicious but expensive - Edit
I ate here 3 times in November 2016. Most vegetarian restaurants in Santa Marta are only open at lunch but this one stays open until 9-ish. They have lots of options on the menu, even gluten-free and vegan. The food is delicious but a bit pricey.

Best vegan food I had in Colombia - Edit
This place is amazing. I came here several times and the food was always delicious. Several clearly marked vegan options including sandwiches, gnocchi, salads, rice paper rolls, pad thai and brownies. They make incredible limonada de coco. Varied service but never too bad. A bit pricey but the food is worth it.

Amazing! - Edit
Ikaro Cafe is amazing! Their menu has something for everyone (vegan, vegetarian, or meat eater). They also have a daily vegetarian lunch menu which is 15000 COP and comes with a soup, main, and fresh juice. The food is delicious, and the portions are satisfying. I visited almost everyday that I was in Santa Marta for their excellent coffee and delicious vegan ice cream!

Great Food For $$$ - Edit
Ikaro would be one of my top Colombian restaurants, if not for the prices. All the main dishes are around $22,000-$28,000, which is very expensive for Colombia. However, it's worth it for a meal - the food is innovative and delicious. I'd recommend the cashew cheese ravioli, the pad Thai, anything with their house made bread and hummus, their vegan ice creams (huge find in Colombia), and their amazing vegan brownie - chewy, gooey and huge.
