Very few options compared to years before. - Edit
It seems like they used to have a lot of good options. But they have removed them, now it's just plain fries, brussel sprouts, and a falafel thing. Based on the pics they used to have many more options. Definitely would bring all those back.
Read morePros: The cocktails were strong. , Brussel sprouts are good.
Cons: Way fewer options then older reviews showed

Nice selection of vegan options. We had vegan chili cheese fries and buffalo sliders with coleslaw and enjoyed them both!

Many vegan options - Edit
Luckily found this place on Happy Cow - normally we seek out only vegan places, but with a head chef who is vegan and over half the menu marked as vegan, this is such an awesome find in an otherwise not-very-vegan-friendly area. We had the Brussels, dolmas, Buffalo “chicken” sliders, and Thai potstickers - all so good. Definitely will be back again! #Veganuary

Hi someday rainbows, there is no longer a vegan chef, and if you were told that last night, you were lied to sadly. The food is still technically vegan, but anything from the fryer is suspect.

Hi @sunshinewarrior - this makes me so sad. We asked the host and without a beat she confirmed the chef is vegan. May I asked how you learned otherwise? Bummer.

After successfully launching the winter menu, Chef Ginny left January 1st due to medical reasons, but plans to consult on future menus to keep the vegan options on point. The restaurant is committed to continuing to keep vegan options on the menu.

Was a great option, now? - Edit
This restaurant no longer has a vegan head chef or any vegan staff members. The vegan food has drastically reduced in quality as the kitchen is no longer following the strict, excellent standards of the past. Things that are fried are usually fried in a common fryer. The cocktails are unaffected and continue to be excellent.

Yum! Tapas style food with many vegan menu items. The chef is great! - Edit
Finally Winter Park has a good vegan food option. The place is super cute inside and they have many drink options that they make in house including their tonic. Zero proof cocktails available. I wish I could give it 5 stars - but 4 stars is the max on Happy Cow if a business is not fully vegan.

This is the one - Edit
We had happy hour bruschetta and Brussels sprouts, and beer cheese sliders and ravioli and it was amazing. Usually in mountain towns you don’t get a lot of choices but everything was labeled and so so so good. I would drive to winter park just for this. The staff is also knowledgeable about allergies and what alcoholic drinks are vegan

Great vegan options in a very vegan unfriendly area - Edit
This is one of the very few restaurants that offer vegan options in the area and thankfully it’s delicious! My husband and I have been twice now in the past month and we’ve really enjoyed our meal and experience both times.
Read moreThey offer a wide variety of cocktails and clearly label which ones contain egg, which is greatly appreciated. They also offer a variety of uniquely crafted mocktails which is awesome and nice to see. The first time I went I got the sunrise mocktail and it was delicious, the second time I got a cocktail called saturn which was also really delicious.
The food is a mix of vegan and non vegan tapas that are clearly marked on the menu, which again is so appreciated. We’ve tried the crispy brussels, the beer cheese sliders, the pesto pasta salad, raviolis, the soft pretzels, and the chocolate mousse. The crispy brussels, pretzels, and beer cheese slides are must get items and if you’re feeling like dessert the mousse is very good!
While we we’re there we met the chef (who is a fellow vegan!) and the manager (I believe) and they were both really nice and welcoming. This is a must stop place while in Winter Park!
Pros: Great food, Nice vibes, Friendly staff
Cons: Not wheelchair accessible

Best Vegan Food in Grand County - Edit
I wish I could give Idlewild 10 stars! Best vegan food we have had in a while! We got the shishito peppers, the vegan sliders, the vegan ravioli, and the vegan chocolate mousse. The chef is vegan and even came out to greet us! We also got several drinks, my husband got alcoholic mixed drinks and I got their mocktails. All of the drinks were super good! The vibe was super cool as well! Best place to eat in Grand County! We will definitely be back!

Finally a dessert I can enjoy - Edit
The vegan chocolate mousse dessert was absolutely heavenly. I am lactose intolerant and struggle to find a good dessert when that sweet tooth craving hits. The chocolate mousse definitely hit the spot.

Delicious food, deserves 5-stars - Edit
I would have given 5-stars if the app allowed it. About half of their menu is vegan options. We got the Brussel sprouts, the shishito peppers, Greek salad, and the raviolis. The food is off the chain! It’s very well-balanced and complementary flavors, alongside thoughtful combinations. The raviolis are amazing—can’t wait to eat them again! Nothing disappoints. Finish it all off with the chocolate mousse, and you will be in a blissful food coma. Thanks Idlewild for the amazing food, cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and for vegan food in an unlikely place!

Dope ass raviolis - Edit
As a vegan it’s extremely rare to find edible raviolis in a restaurant. I love raviolis and these are freaking delicious. 10/10 must come back to try the other vegan offerings (it’s difficult to choose).

The Best! - Edit
Amazing Vegan Cuisine! Not just a few vegan options but many delicious, beautiful vegan tapas! Clearly marked on the menu and a knowledgeable, friendly staff to answer questions. Super sweet chef, Ginny, came out to see what we thought. She’s talented! Also a fun atmosphere and fantastic local spirits! *FYI The App doesn’t let you give 5 stars if the restaurant isn’t 100% vegan, so don’t be fooled by the 4 stars. It’s 10/10!

Highly recommend for anyone coming through Winter Park. Has a lot of vegan options. Tasted very good and a rare high end restaurant that doesn’t just hold cheese and calls it vegan. Ravioli was my favorite.

A must try! - Edit
The atmosphere is cozy and really cool to see the distillery in action. The drinks are so bomb and they even have some interesting house made spirits and Togo cocktails.
Read moreThey have a new plant based chef that has transformed the menu into something very unique and a must try for the area! i had the beer cheese sliders they were a comfort food I will crave for awhile. They had mushrooms and shallots with a tasty vegan beer cheese sauce. Also had a fresh and beautifully presented watermelon feta salad with toasted almonds, hints of mint and basil, and a balsamic reduction topping. I would come back for this all summer!!
