Breakfast Let down. - Edit

Coffee was good, nice selection of milk alternatives. I paid $20 for a singular slice of avo toast with half raw half wilted spinach on it and found a hair in the spinach!! Felt like an absolute rip off for what I paid. A few vegan and vegetarian options - more than a few other places in the area and the cafe itself has a really nice aesthetic. Definitely needs improvement tho.

Pros: Good coffee , Atmosphere

Cons: Price , Quality of food

Disappointing - Edit

Got the date loaf, bean burrito and oat milk coffees. The coffee was nice, bean burrito bland and unseasoned (my partner only ate half of it- for some reason the filling was plain beans, potato and tomato?), and the date loaf was OK but pretty dry. I asked if there was dairy free spread to go with the vegan date loaf and was told no but I could have coconut oil. Wouldn't come back here except for coffee to be honest although options in Twizel are pretty thin so depends on your standards I guess.

Pros: Good coffee

Cons: Poor vegan options, No vegan spread to go with vegan loaf

On a cold wet day travelling through by motorcycle, my partner (vegan) and I stopped in here as she had done some research and wanted to check out the vegan options they had on offer. She ordered the Vegan date loaf. The vegan date loaf arrived with a serving of butter on the plate - this was not an unopened container of butter either it had been cut off a block or similar and on the plate cms away from the loaf..... um hello, VEGAN date loaf please. Yes we were able to push it further aside but that's pretty poor... especially when my partner asked if that was butter and they didnt offer to take it away and swap it out or serve with olivani or similar vegan option. Unfortunately the Oat milk flat white was average too... a shame as looked like a nice spot.

Pros: Warm, Long black was ok

Cons: Service, Butter served with vegan date loaf

Good options - Edit

They had a good selection of sweet and savoury options in the cabinet. I needed a quick fix and chose the bean burrito from the cabinet, they over complicated it by adding potatoes and sweet potato but it was still yummy
