Unique & artistic dining experience!

When searching for vegan food in Kakunodate, I was disappointed to find zero results. Imagine my joy when I stumbled upon a big sign for Hyakusuien, offering vegan options!

Inside, the restaurant was adorned with Iranian carpet arts and eclectic decor, creating a unique ambiance. Paired with classical background music, it felt like stepping into a different world for a moment.

I decided to try the vegan soba for ¥1,700. While the food quality was standard, it wasn't cheap. However, the welcoming owner and the fact that it was the only mixed-culture restaurant in town with vegan options made it a worthwhile experience.

Pros: Unique interior, Friendly owner, Organic

Cons: Pricey
