Lots of vegan options. The burritos are bigger than they look in the photos so you can definitely share a burrito between two people. Loved the elote!

Wow - Edit
I’ve never eaten Mexican food before and this place has made me think I’ve been missing out! It’s hard to get food that contains vegetables and isn’t fried in Vegas and this ticked those boxes as well as being very tasty.

Amazing all vegan menu selection! Had the enchiladas with half and half red and green sauce. Really good. Fresh poco de gallo, smoky salsa Roja. Chips a bit stale and reused! Yikes. Mariachi band are nice and friendly, but bit loud. Would dine again.

loud, bright, but good vegan food - Edit
First, the hours list on HappyCow are wrong. They are open till 11 PM most nights.
Read moreThey have a dedicated vegan menu, lights are a little bit too bright for my liking and it's a little bit too loud but it's kind of a sports bar type feeling with several large screens, and they have a lot of vegan options.
We got fajitas with "chicken" as well as enchiladas. They have vegan cheese, sour cream, and beans and rice as well as vegan "chicken" and "beef".
Prices, especially the drinks, are very reasonable for Las Vegas.

Excellent! - Edit
We had an excellent meal here. They have a large and varied separate vegan menu. I had the tostada salad with “chicken.” The server said it was Gardein and it was seasoned exceptionally well. The salad was HUGE! Two thumbs up.

High Hopes - Edit
Honestly, I wanted to really like this place. They've got a great vibe, great staff, and the vegan menu is extensive. We ate here for breakfast, and the food just didn't quite hit the mark for this for what this Texas girl considers "Mexican" food. The chips and salsa were both delicious, which really got my hopes high. However, we ordered "Huevos Rancheros" and the "Breakfast Burrito" and both were just bland. The egg had no seasoning, the potatoes were undercooked (no seasoning either), and the "refried beans" were simply NOT refried, and the amount of cheese on these items was just too much... Hopefully, lunch items are better! 🤞

Viva Las Vegan! - Edit
I was in Vegas recently and was anxious as I was unsure how much Vegas had "embraced" vegan. I was so relieved to come across Hussong's Cantina in Mandalay Bay - there were extensive vegan options, the service was fantastic and the food was delicious (I went for breakfast and dinner on two separate days!). I would've given 5* if the HC app would let me!

Lunch was great, dinner not so much - Edit
We first ate brunch here just after the restaurant opened for the day and the food was awesome, as was the service. They have an entire vegan menu that’s pretty extensive. We had the vegan breakfast burrito and it rocked! We went back the next day for dinner and it was a whole different experience. Our server ignored us multiple times and the food wasn’t so great (I had the jackfruit carnitas burrito and left most of it because the taste was just weird). Not sure if the evening crew versus the lunch time crew was the difference or if the evening crew just struggled with the quantity of people to take care of but we won’t be going back in the evening again.

This is one of our favorite places in Vegas. When you need a “meaty” burrito, this is your spot. Quick service and fun atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit - especially if dining with non-vegans.

Large Vegan Menu - Edit
They have a large vegan menu with lots of gf options. You get free chips and salsa when you sit down. They have a couple of breakfast options which they serve all day. The food is really good but the service isn't that great and the prices are super high! (It's the strip so kind of expected unfortunately)

Loved the plethora of options and the clearly labeled vegan section of the menu. I ate a ton of the chips and salsa then ordered the chicken tacos, which I was barely able to finish. I also ordered a mojito, which was perfect and not too sweet.

Ok - Edit
First of all, major kudos for offering a dedicated and extensive vegan menu in addition to your regular menu. There were so many items that I wanted to try, but my tummy wasn't big enough for all the vegan things... Next time. My family was staying at the Mandalay, so it was honestly veggie luck that Hussong's was just a few steps from our room.
Read moreOn the first visit, I got the Fish Baja Tacos. The tacos were good, but it appeared that the Gardein fishless filets were 1/2 the normal size; I may have gotten 1 or 2 bites of the filet. It was basically a cabbage taco. Also, I tasted, and subsequently saw, vegan cheese inside my tacos. I do not like cheese; vegan or otherwise. The menu does not list cheese in the description, so that was perturbing. (Side note: it is not listed in the menu description, but this dish also comes with beans and rice.)
On the second visit, I got the Chile Relleno with the Gardein Chick'n strips. This dish is supposed to come with mixed garlic, onions, tomatoes, carrots, and potatoes, then topped with Daiya (vegan cheese) shreds and avocado, served over a tostado with beans and rice. I requested no tomatoes or cheese. What did I get? Well, I got the open poblano pepper with "chicken" strips, tomatoes, avocado slices, a mystery sauce drizzled atop, and the tostado, which was surrounded by a mole sauce. The garlic, onions, carrots, and potatoes were no where to be found. This is a $17 dish. I am going to need them to not omit 1/2 of the ingredients. I picked out the tomatoes and the remaining dish was good, but I wanted the rest of that darn filling!
The beans & rice, however, were excellent. They were among some of the best and most flavorful vegan rice and beans I have ever had.
I'd love to give some of the other menu items a try, like that Habanero Guacamole dish, and the Sopes. But the kitchen needs to make sure they know what does and does not go in their dishes, and/or update the menu descriptions accordingly.
They were open from 11am-11pm. Carry out orders need to placed at the bar, or you may call ahead. Hussong's Cantina is located in the Shoppes area. If you're at Mandalay Bay, simply follow the signs for the Shoppes. It's just a short walk after you've exited the escalators. If you reach Lush, you've gone too far.

Great Vegan Menu - Edit
We came across this restaurant at lunchtime whilst exploring Manderlay Hotel. I spotted the vegan menu & we were lucky to have a walk up.
Read moreI chose the jackfruit fajitas, lots of delicious toppings. Jackfruit was a bit dry & it looked a bit too meaty for me but the fajitas were good, the spicy rice & refried beans were very good. Husband had vegan quesadillas which he enjoyed.
It was busy as it was President’s Day but we got a table & service was good.
Quirky decor, and our server was friendly. Would recommend.

Got the vegan chimicanga, it was good but a little greasy for my taste. But I would have liked to try more on the menu. I didn't like the mariachi band, asking for tips, playing pop songs at your table but your milage may vary on that entertainment.
