Staple for me

I've been going to Hunan Manor as a vegan for over a decade and I'm surprised to see the negative review here because it's one of my favorite options in the area. I love their bean curd Hunan style and string bean Szechuan style. It's a great place to go with a group of mixed diet or large groups, although vegan items aren't notated on the menu so you have to ask if anything includes egg, for example their crispy eggplant uses an egg wash before the coating.

Pros: Many vegan options, Large portions , Delicious

Solid Chinese food

Always a good meal, wait staff prompt and good.

One of the worst meals I’ve ever had

One of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Bland and stale tasting. Even the tea served to us tasted like it was days old. The cashews in my meal tasted months old. Just no.

Pros: Vegan options that taste stale

Stick to the tofu

I say stick to the tofu because I found the soy "meat" to be disgusting. It had a strange crispy outside that seemed wrapped around a mushy piece of soy. It definitely was not realistic to meat, and there are other restaurants that pull this off better (such as Hunan Legend at the Dorsey Search plaza nearby). Prior to trying the mock meat here, I had the general Tsao tofu and loved it.

Pros: Good tofu dishes, Reasonable prices

Cons: Terrible soy "meat"

Bland

The vegetarian menu was limited, the food was bland, It was difficult to ask questions about the menu because the wait staff had limited English.

Pros: Reasonable price

Cons: Bland Food, Hard to communicate with wait staff
