Veggies ok but no vegan meat substitute - Edit
This place is hopping with business for takeout, and pretty busy with folks dining there. However, with that said, it is not authentic just because you can sit down and eat there.

The fake meat is not vegan because it has egg whites. They also use MSG - so request no MSG if you're sensitive or don't like having MSG in your food.
Aside from that, the portions are huge and the prices fair. This is a Hunan-style restaurant, so that tells me it won't be really spicy when they label items spicy. True true true - the spicy green beans were rather unspicy and unflavorful. They were just deep fried with a touch of salt. I'd rather eat them steamed only. The tofu is deep fried, so request it otherwise if you don't like brown chunks of tofu. The sauces are okay, but more just standard take-out food. Some of the veggies they use are frozen and/or canned - carrots, peas, straw mushrooms, baby corn and water chestnuts. Some veggies are fresh - snow peas, string beans, broccoli.
If I had nowhere else to go, I might go back, but unlikely. I appreciate their effort to have fake meat, but with so many other places to choose from for takeout Chinese, I would go elsewhere. It's too bad, because they are really nice and friendly!
