The best food I’ve ever had - Edit
It was simply the best diner ever. I’ve been vegan for 9 years and did a couple of Michelin star restaurants but Humus x Hortense really is a one of a kind. Everything is so tasty, so original, so well balanced. It’s also local and seasonal which I really like. Waiters are so kind. It’s definitely pricey but it worths it! I’d love to come back 🥰

A journey for the taste buds! - Edit
Please note, this is a very fine gastronomic cuisine.
Read moreIt's a pretty small and popular place, so you have to make a reservation and mention that you're a vegan, otherwise you'll have to pay more on the spot.
Reservation can be done online and usually 1.5 months in advance.
Attention like 5 days before your reservation, you have to reconfirm it and you will need your credit card again to do so.
A bit complicated in my opinion, now I think they have some experience with the topic.
We've taken the full menu experience, it's very expensive, now it was a decent trip of gastronomic vegan dishes with the right drinks going with it.
They have great staff, with great personalities.
The owners are very active in the restaurant, very hospitable, now they seemed quite reluctant and not very open to talk.
We had a great experience!

Simply the best - Edit
I've had the chance to eat in many fine dining and awarded restaurants in my life, but I would say that I've had the most exquisite dinner at Humus X Hortense !
Read moreThey strive for sustainably and change the menu weekly according to the harvest from their local provider (they also make zero waste cocktails).
We chose the full experience with wine pairing, and the textures , the quality, the flavours sent me straight to foodie heaven!
The service and decor were just as delightful as the menu.
A wonderful experience I cannot recommend enough.

Great overall experience - Edit
HxH was such a beautiful experience! We had the full wild experience and were very happy with our choice. The fact that you get the dessert courses (or was it four?) was fantastic. The food was so unusual and the drinks were very well executed. The restaurant itself is very elegant and the service excellent. Highly recommended!

Nice experience - Edit
This is my second michelin starred vegan restaurant after visiting another one in London. I liked the fact that this place was less formal and more casual and relaxed. It was also great to see the creative vegan scene happening in Brussels! The food was tasty, creative, and a good mix of Asian cuisine. The staff were very friendly as well. I gave it 4 stars because I felt like it was missing THE food of the day that can really stand out and be remarkable. I'm willing to revisit next time I'm in Brussels to also try a different menu!

Sensational - Edit
No words will do this place justice. I appreciate tasting menus and experiences like this are not for everyone but this is on another level. Each dish, each drink, was truly sublime.
Read moreIt is a small place, and if you book you must have the full experience - no a la carte - it was 215 euros per person and included within that was all courses and drinks pairings, plus welcome aperitif, water and coffees. The vibe was smart, serious, but casual and the service reflected this.
This was, without a doubt, the best meal of my life.
Pros: wow, wow, wow

Spectacular - Edit
This dinner was just spectacular. So many special combinations of flavours, amazing presentation and great ambiance. The staff is super friendly and the dinner was a truly unique experience. I especially loved the way how they made their own types of tempeh and tofu with unusual ingredients. Also the herbal flavours throughout the menu (food and cocktails) were a great touch.

Such a worthy experience - Edit
The best place where to celebrate a special occasion for my partner and I. We took the wild full experience menu (200 euros per person) and it was soo worth it. The whole experience lasted 3 hours, the waiter explains each dish and the matched drink (alcoholic or not). You need to mention any allergies during the reservation so they can provide alternative dishes.
Read moreThe quality is just outstanding. We were so impressed by the attention to details and combination of flavours and nuances of acidity. The 3 hours went by quickly and at the end we were feeling full. Absolutely recommended.

A really beautiful setting. We had an innovative vegetable focussed ten course meal paired with drinks (non-alcohol in our case). Really fresh, creative and nice to have a fancy meal.

Exquisite dining - Edit
A perfect treat!! Love the concept of seasonal local farm-to-table and to use as much as possible. The first dinner group gets a 'Pure Full Experience' tasting menu, as of 20h30 you get 'Wild Full Experience' tasting enu. We also ordered the non-alcoholic drinks, including self-fermented. Each course was a surprise and delight. We will come back for a Winter taste for sure.

Sublime. - Edit
Wow.

Blown away! - Edit
For me, this experience was perfect in every way. Each preparation was extremely tasty, beautifully served and played with very original flavor combinations. The staff was absolutely charming and very knowledgeable. And I'm still amazed by how far and in detail they go to respect life in every aspect, all the way from its staff to the beautiful planet we live on. So glad ethics and sustainability found its way into the fine dining world, so that we can enjoy this magic totally guilt-free 😊

It's very exciting to see a vegan restaurant getting a Michelin star, but it's absolutely deserved. The food is unbelieveable. So tasty and so beautiful. The staff is kind and extremely knowledgable. This is a huge experience for a vegan, and definitely worth the price.

We went on a Saturday night for the earlier seating and had the full pairing/tasting menu. Every single course and beverage was out of this world. I’ll be dreaming about this meal for months to come. It’s a big splurge, but absolutely worth it.

What’s not to like ! Outstanding from the design to the service to the food and drinks. Of course the price is in relation to the quality but worth it. Off the scale compared to most other vegan restaurants. The award of a Michelin star in 2023 confirming the excellence.
