Big hummus love

„Hummus complete“ was definitely amazing and a great snack for us - we shared a plate between two people after walking through the city for ours.
Works perfectly as a complete meal for sure!

Pros: great taste, many vegan options, big portion

Favorite hummus & shakshuka in Lisbon

I have taken them multiple times and they never disappoint - also got my friends addicted! They have tried the shakshuka feta as well

Wonderful Pita Falafel

They offer nice vegan options, clearly market. The pita falafel is by far the most delicious I've ever had.

Pros: Best pita falafel, Delicious vegan options, Very cheap

Cons: Sells meat

Great hummus & falafel

I'd been craving falafel for days, so I hopped into the market in Campo d'Orique. I got the falafel sandwich for €4.90: pita with hummus, tahini, falafel, tomato, and cabbage. The pita was fluffy and the falafel was nice and moist. My only complaint is that there was more tahini than hummus.

Hummus

Great hummus and falafel, but the fried cauliflower was my favourite. Lots of vegan options available and good portion size. Still expensive for hummus.

Attractive covered market

Campo de Ourique market is a pleasant covered market that offers a mix of traditional fruit and veg stalls and places offering food to take to the common seating area. There are also some food shops. It's a bit like the larger Time Out market, but as it is off the tourist trail it is quieter and more for locals (including foreign residents).

The Hummus Bar is the only prepared food place that explicitly offers vegan food, though there may be others. The sorbets at the ice cream shop are vegan and the cake shop just by the Hummus bar sometimes has vegan cake.

Things to do in the area: Campo de Ourique central garden square, Jardim de Estrella, the large park Tapada das Necessidades (you can walk down through it to a miradouro with views of the bridge; for a longer walk, head on to the river at Doca de Santa Asmara and walk to Belém).

The Hummus Bar itself offers straightforward decent hummus with falafel, salad or other options.

Pros: The market has a pleasant feel

Good for a quick and cheap vegan lunch

Little bar inside a covered market. Serves Arabic dishes, many vegan options. Very good felafel and hummus.

Pros: Hummus and felafel are very good

Cons: Just a couple of tables, really not a fancy place

Good falafel for a fair price

Tried the pita falafel and it was really tasty and fresh. Will go back to try the other vegan options. They seemed to also have a fair price.

Pros: Price, Taste

Cons: Located at a crowded venue, Wait time
