Excellent IF you don't get served meat - Edit
I used to go here all the time and was so obsessed with all of the delicious condiments. For years I was always a happy customer. The last two times I have gone I have bitten into actual meat dogs, though. The first time I was with my partner who eats meat and they accidentally swapped our orders. It was alarming and I was disappointed but at least I did have a veggie dog to eat. This time, however, they gave us both meat dogs even though our order said "veggie" dog. Unfortunately, this marks the second time I have been served meat from Hula Dogs. I ordered to-go and left the location so I couldn't have them re-do my order.
Read moreFor context, I haven't knowingly had meat in 20 years, the last time being when I was 3 years old. Super jarring and very sad!!😒If you go, I would be super adamant about ensuring you get the RIGHT type of dog. I won't be back again for a long time and if I try it again I will make absolutely certain of what I am getting. If you manage to get a veggie dog, the sauces and bun are absolutely delicious—used to be one of my favorite spots!

Bomb taro bread veggie dog - Edit
I get it on a taro bun with pineapple relish and habanero sauce, but you can customize it how you please. There’s only one thing on the menu (hot dog) but you can choose from 3 breads, 3 sauces, 3 relish, and add a few other things if you want.

It’s very good! - Edit
This is one of the best and most unique hot dogs I’ve had. Me and my girlfriend did not believe it was vegetarian and had to confirm because it REALLY SMELLS AND TASTES LIKE PORK. The lady confirmed it’s made with soy protein and was super worried we didn’t enjoy it. We feel fine hours later and would definitely go back. Just be aware they are insanely realistic vegan dogs.

Huge dog! - Edit
Tried the vegan option- veggie tog, taro bun, no sauce (it’s all Mayo bases), Lillikoi mustard, mango relish. Quite tasty! Definitely a vegan dog (as compare to hubby’s regular) currently open 7 days a week, 11-7!

Not veggie dogs - Edit
I was served a “veggie” dog that was absolutely pork. The color was light and texture was totally different than any fake meat I’ve had. I went back to the truck to double check and was told “haha maybe I gave you the pork”. Not funny and not ok.

This is why you might consider a boycott of anti-vegan businesses, they think not eating corpses is a joke. Imagine that? People who don't care if they kill baby animals also don't care about you. Shocker.
