Cheap and basic but hits the spot

Typical Chinese vegetarian buffet food (there are made-to-order options too). As often is the case, some dishes are very oily, and everything on the buffet isn't piping hot, but you can just choose the freshest looking ones. Amazing value and great to be able to get a big hit of veggies, tofu and tempeh. Brown rice is available as well as white.

Pros: Good to see what you're getting, Cheap, Nutritious

Cons: A bit too oily/greasy , Buffet food has inevitably cooled down

Where the locals eat!

The place was full of locals, everybody was welcome and people working there took their time to explain what they have for special today🥰

The food was freshly prepared and very tasty!

Highly recommended!

Amazing buffet and cheap!

Good variery of dishes - mock meats, tofu, tempeh etc. And so cheap, 20 ringgit for two filled plates. Staff was friendly and could inform on non-vegan dishes on the buffet.

Cheap, fast, tasty

I went for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Food came fast and was good. I‘d definitely go again and felt like this is also a place where locals go, which I always appreciate.

Quick and cheap

Typical Chinese vegetarian food, either make your choice from the buffet order from the menu, also have fresh juices (ask for no sugar if you don't want sugar)

Pros: Good selection in the buffet, Friendly staff, Lots of seating

Nice veg place

The food here was nice, yet not so special in comparison to other veg food we’ve tried in Malacca. They do have a lot of options and also they sell some products in the shop. I tried a mushroom pau and that was nice too.

Pros: Vegan friendly , Affordable

Unbelivable!!!!

Definitely one of our BEST restaurant in Malaysia. It's so cool to eat local and typical food. Staff is really nice. Food is very good and dishes are beautiful. And what about the price?!! Never ate for a such price in all Malaysia!
We only paid RM17 for 2 dishes (Nasi Lemak) and 2 desserts (kind of sweet soup)

Delicious, cheap and generous portions

So conveniently located right next to the G Teik Vegetarian Supply store too! I got the Tuesday special vegetarian chicken with turmeric rice and it was delicious. Came with a complimentary mushroom broth on the side all for 5 RM. Service was quick and very friendly. The place was full of locals because they know good, cheap food!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious and generous portions, Quick and friendly service

Great cheap food

Had the vegetarian chicken -the special for Tuesdays. It tasted great, marinated in a ginger sauce. And a bargain at 5 RM

Good

Has many delicious options. And many snacks to order as well. Not in jonker street area, but still within walking distance.

Hands down the best in Melaka!

I tried several vegetarian restaurants in Melaka and this is the best with really good prices. Very tasty food, both buffet and a la carte. The self serve buffet is actually warm, unlike many Chinese vegetarian restaurants. They also have real steamed brown rice. Most Chinese veg places I've eaten mix a little black rice into plain old white rice, and say it's brown rice, but here they serve real fragnant brown rice. Good and cheap drinks and desserts and take out also available. The energy here is so warm, humble and welcoming, you just can't wait to come back the next day! God bless Hui Yuan 🙏.

Pros: Delicious, lots of variety, Excellent value, Friendly staff

Cons: Closes at 3 pm

Tasty food , very cheap

Been here a couple of times, also on sunday, and had buffet and a la carte Kiauw Teoh (my favorite). Very tasty food, they used a lot of herbs with the veggies. All tastes good. Delicious!

Very good

Quite good, especially their buffet. They have brown rice and their noodles were very tasty. I also ordered an a la cart dish, the "healthy coconut nasi" something, which was alright, but not as good. Atmosphere was also pleasant. Would be a regular here.

funny

when we came there all the locals took food from the buffet so we were doing the same. it was a bit hard to find out what everything is and their english was not the best but they told me all was without animal products and it looked like that. i was just confused. it was a kind of funny there. the food was very tasty and i loved that so many different locals were eating there.

cheap + simple vegetarian food

This place has nothing more to offer that the other veg restaurants in town but is still good. They have a buffet as well as a à la carte menu. Everything is very cheap though!

Pros: cheap

Cons: some dishes are tasteless

Excellent

Really loved this place. It says vegetarian, but it's mainly vegan. I enjoyed the tasty laksa soup wit tofu puffs and they have really good dumplings as well. They have a few daily menu items and some food they serve every single day. No fancy place, TL-lights eatery, but prices are very low (about 5 ringit per meal, which is more than enough). Friendly service as well.

Next door there's a vegetarian supermarket (mainly vegan), worth a look!

Inexpensive & value for money place for breakfast

They serve fried mee hoon & noodle with a wide selection of dishes. Not too oily. They also serve a few local dishes like Wanton noodle, Nasi Lemak, Assam Laksa, Curry Laksa, etc.

The Assam Laksa is a must try. An authentic nyonya dish in vegetarian that can hardly be found !!!

Pros: good value, friendly owner

Cons: limited selection, no air-condition
