Read moreI had the fried king oyster mushroom with rosemary and soy sauce business meal (meaning that it's served with rice, soup, and two sides). The mushrooms were really tender and well prepared. The dressing was nice, but personally I couldn't pick out the rosemary taste. It was good nevertheless! The soup had tofu and cabbage in it, and was really tasty. My sides were a little plate of wilted greens and some pickles, which were fine but unremarkable.
My partner had the vegetarian black pepper steak business meal. He enjoyed the texture of the steak a lot, it felt like a good seitan with a nice crisp exterior. The sauce was good and peppery. He also found the greens slightly dull as a side, but enjoyed the beans.
We also shared a plate of deep fried pepper king oyster mushrooms, which had a fantastic crispy texture and were well seasoned.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and spoke perfect English to us.

the owner was a delight, such a kind lady. she gifted us some plums. the food was very good and they have a lunch menu that includes soup, rice and 2 side dishes (the kitchen decides, we had water spinach and tofu). kitchen hours are 11-14:00 and 17-20:00

Amazing fried oyster mushrooms - Edit
I tried the fried oyster mushrooms business set. That texture was to die for! Also loved the fact that I was given some water upon entry. The side dishes were also very tasty. The owner was superb! She gave me some free guava (even a whole guava to take home) and a Taiwanese plum (very tasty!). Very chill atmosphere in this place. If I would have to search for a complaint it would probably be the rice, it could have been a little bit more tasteful. But overall an amazing experience!

Our navigation told us we had arrived when we were across the street by the Tea Way Hotel so we called the restaurant and the sweet owner said she’d come find us. 😂

Really good dish: Fried King Oyster Mushroom. It was one of the cheapest meals (80B) but the other choices were too expensive for us cause we're travelling for a long time. So it's really cool to allow us to eat in this kind of place. The owner is SO NICE. She speaks English really good!

We had dinner here on two consecutive evenings while staying in Taichung. Vegetarian restaurants seem to close quite early, eg 7:30-8:00 and on the first night we were very appreciative when then ladies who work in this shop/restaurants were willing to feed us when we turned up 10 mins before closing time. The meals were very tasty and the portions were good too. Would recommend.

Amazing Vegan restaurant and shop - Edit
Greeted by very friendly owner who spoke English very well, she recommended the king oyster w. Rosemary dish and we weren’t disappointed! We also had the veg-scallop, both dishes we ordered as business meals which came w. 2 sides and a bowl of soup. Finished everything on our tray, as literally everything was sooo delicious!

The store sells interesting wares, from vegan snacks to vegan soaps, we grabbed the jerky and a bar of soap that smelled amazing!
Highly recommend this place. The vibe is relaxing, piles of book and memos with a pamphlet saying “Be Vegan. Make Peace.” 💕

This restaurant deserves its high ratings! Friendly and warm owner (who speaks excellent English), delicious, healthy and filling food, mid-range price, tranquil atmosphere. I would recommend the mushrooms with rosemary and soy sauce with a side of dumplings!

Looks like a shop from the outside, but you can have some lovely food in there - got a set combo soup dumplings fresh salad and juice - the lady working there speaks English very well and was so mindful to ask me if honey was ok for me or not - she made the salad and juice fresh and soon after I had a MASSIVE soup bowl in front of me - you could tell: Fresh fresh fresh vegetables in there! The soup could have used a teeeeny tiny bit more flavor, it was very filling and satisfying nonetheless - 280 for everything, which is fair for such good quality veg!! It closes at 19:30!

Stopped here for food before my train ride to Taipei. It's very clean and cozy, and the lady working here is super sweet. They have all sorts of vinegar drinks (which I was stoked on!) and a huge menu of delicious food. I got the soup dumplings 😝

Very delicious- not 100% vegan though - Edit
A really nice restaurant and health food store, delicious, albeit not entirely vegan (which was what we expected). Fantastic service though, the lady who served us spoke great English and informed us clearly of what was and was not vegan (which a lot of Taiwanese restaurateurs won't often do, as they don't always know the vegan/vegetarian difference). Great feed, would recommend it to anyone coming through.
