Excellent Food & Service

Probably the best falafel burger I’ve ever had, served with a decent salad and [custom, for me] sourdough bread instead of a bun. Excellent service - efficient & friendly.

Great service and food

Came here for breakfast recently. A delightful place with a few vegan options available, although it could use some more, such as a full English breakfast sort of thing. They do offer vegan milkshakes and cakes, however, both of which were good quality. The place is well decorated and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highlight was the inclusion of basil pesto on my avocado toast - delicious!

Loved our visit here, there are so many options for breakfast and lunch and we also took a slice of cake home. The service was lovely and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely return.

Quaint and friendly

Driving through the area decided to drop off there for late lunch as it was listed on Happy Cow.

Had tomato soup and one slice of toasted bread. Juice of the day and took away a slice of banoffe pie.

The restaurant was a bit tricky to locate but once we had it nice inside and pleasant to sit in. The staff were friendly and tried to accommodate us. Had an English tea room feel to it. It sells a range of items too. The food was tasty but the range of vegan food was limited also it was quite pricy for what it was.

Pros: Nice ambience, Friendly staff, Good banoffe pie

Cons: Pricy, Off the beaten track

Not so special anymore

I recently ventured out to what 'was' one of my favourite little healthy food shacks.

Now, I understand that variables mean consistency isnt always going to be met to my exacting and high standards, but... that's exactly the point I'm making, you guys used to have such good food (and service) it made me want to come back!

This is the 3rd time I've visited you in 2018 and I've been let down on each occasion.

This place was dear to my heart (and belly) and yet the owners, of a once well kept ship, are slowly letting it sink.

Pros: fresh, healthy food.

Cons: untrained staff ruining quality and reputation

yummy and friendly

What a wonderful discovery. Infinitely better than the alternative- microwaved from frozen pub lunches.
Delicious and generous portion of veggie chilli with brown rice and the best brownie I've eaten this year.
The coffee was too weak for my liking but they were so friendly I'm sure they'd have changed it if I asked.

Pros: fresh and healthy menu

Cons: single use plastic straws used for juices, and cak

Great place for brunch. Vegan options

Lovely little cafe for brunch, or a quiet afternoon. Family friendly, offering lots of vegan options both breakfast, lunch and sweet treats. The Avocado toast is lovely, and the cakes look fantastic. The juices are delicious, I also love the Teapigs chai tea, there are lots of plant milks on offer like soya, almond and coconut. They have things like Turmeric Lattes too. We usually park over the road, this place isn't far from the main A33 Basingstoke to Reading, but also tucked in a nice village area.

Pros: Lots of juices and smoothies, Vegan options, Great location

Cons: Can be noisy when busy, Expensive if you stay for refills

Delicious vegan lunch

We've been meaning to visit for a while - this area is generally not great for vegan and veg eating out - but House Twenty8 is a gem and will certainly be back again soon! Really delicious food, very fresh and very tasty. We had a Buddha Bowl (mixed veg with rice - can so often be boring but here was anything but!) and a mushroom burger. They do veg juices, and really yummy looking cakes, a treat whether you're vegan or not. Breakfast choice looked good too. Nice relaxed atmosphere with a lovely little gift shop next door.

Such a great find!

It's such a lovely surprise to find a veggie/vegan cafe in the local area. So used to having to compromise but no longer! Have had crushed avocado on sour dough for breakfast and recently had falafel in wrap, both lovely. Juices are very different and make your mouth tingle but worth a go! Looking forward to the winter soups ?. Dogs welcome outside in seating area and need to check if they are welcome inside too. Staff have always been smiley, friendly & helpful. As a veggie, can't say how good it has to have a place just for us!

Amazing find

Heard about House Twenty 8 from a friend so checked out their Facebook page, so impressed I had to visit straight away. Well I wasn't disappointed, what a great place! Stylish & rustic decor with a chilled atmosphere, fabulous outdoor dining under the pergola & friendly knowledgeable staff. Lots of delicious homemade dishes to choose from, vegetarian, vegan & gluten free! Lovely cakes and delicious smoothies & juices too. So hard to choose I wanted them all. I opted from the avocado & tomato on toasted sourdough with salad - delicious. Followed by a vegan brownie & a 'healing' juice - so so yummy! Will definitely be going back again and again now I've found it ?

lovely and local as well as friendly staff

When hearing there was a vegetarian/vegan cafe in the area I knew that I had to try it out as soon as possible. I definitely wasn't disappointed, the food was fresh and so so good as well as the smoothies which I picked out from their long menu of juices. It was a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful interior as well as a sweet little area outside for when the weather is good.

Pros: great menu, gives plenty of choice , friendly staff , local, fresh produce
