Incompetent staff - avoid

Attended tonight for a birthday meal. There were 6 of us, 2 vegans (myself and partner), along with 4 omnivores, one of which has a peanut allergy.

There was no allergen matrix/menu whatsoever, and the staff weren't sure what had peanuts in and what didn't. It took several round trips to the kitchen, choosing dishes and having the staff return with information, until the order was finally placed.

When the starters were served, the waiter placed down dishes in front of myself and my partner. He said clearly that they were the salt and chilli tofu and the vegetable dumplings. The salt and chilli tofu didn't quite look as expected and I was wary, and tasted some of the seasoning, which tasted a little seafood like. My partner ate half of one of her dumplings and it didn't seem as expected either. A waitress returned with more starters and called out "salt and chilli tofu". I asked her what mine was, she said "crab". My partner also asked to confirm what her dumplings were, and she was unsure. The waitress thought it was chicken. They took her food away and replaced it with the vegetable dumplings, apologising that she'd had the wrong dish. They confirmed that she'd just eaten chicken.

Some of the staff didn't seem to particularly care. One staff member was apologetic, but they did nothing to make anything right. Nothing was taken off the bill, and the 10% service charge was automatically added.

Overall, some of the food was quite nice (when it was what we'd ordered) but the service and incompetence of the staff definitely put me off ever returning. We're "lucky" that it was the two vegans that got the wrong things and that it wasn't our peanut allergy sufferer.

Would definitely avoid.

Pros: Decent decor, Food was okay, Vegan/Vegetarian food clearly marked

Cons: Service, Staff incompetence, Lack of allergen matrix/menu

Delicious and plenty choice

As a vegan, absolutely love it here. The meat substitutes are really good and the flavours are very nice. There’s plenty to chose from so I’m not stuck for choice, which is nice for a change. I really enjoy the salt and pepper chicken. Super tasty!

Pros: Good options , Nice view and place , Good meat alternatives

Cons: Pricey

Average Asian food in a fab location

The location is second to none. I would return, more so to the bar than the restaurant. The cocktails were lush.
On the plus side there were several clearly marked vegan options. Yay!
The deep fried veg dumpling starter was lovely. I ordered (from the starters for my main) salt and pepper vegan chicken and wok fried pack choi. They were both okay. My partner ordered seafood dishes which didn’t meet his expectations.
We have an exceptional pan Asian restaurant near us and we have never found anywhere that is to that level.

Pros: Location, Decor , Cocktails

Cons: Average food

Same as the old boss

Opulent beachside surroundings. I had a pan fried pad choi starter which was tasty enough followed by a mediocre red Thai curry overloaded with bland tofu and plenty of cheap filler onions for which I paid £15 PLUS £3 for rice! A good place for a rare nice night out with the lads
