CLOSED - Edit
Edit.
Read moreWent for lunch only to find a Chinese restaurant in its place. All signage missing, and even though maps says it's "temporarily closed", it certainly looks to be permanent.
Pleasantly surprised with the quality and cost of the food. Very nice Thai dishes with loads of flavour. Wonderful, friendly staff with excellent English. Can't wait to come back.
Pros: Tons of flavour!
Cons: Gone

House Of Joy - Edit
I set at the restaurant balcony which is lovely, My cashew delight dish had so many cashews! the taste was really good but I think they can improve the dish by maybe putting less cashew and add a small rice portion instead. (they also give a tasty coconut ice cream to every customer which is a really nice gesture).

Great place. Food okay. - Edit
The place itself is very pleasant, clean. You immediately feel well there. The menu offers many choices. I had the classic one: Pad Thai. It was not the best one. Just okay. All the staff is so nice, smiley.

Bland - Edit
Expensive for Thai prices, the food came out slow and at different times, the food itself was very bland, and even though vegan on happy cow they had egg on the menu!

Very friendly - Edit
I went here on my first day in Bangkok. Although it’s open until 1700 there was a sing saying it was closing at 1500. There were no customers around. The owner still served me . I paid 139 Bat for mushroom Risotto and water. I got coconut icecream on the house.

I found this place on my way to Perception Blind Massage and was so happy I did! Great respite from the city noise. Cool and quiet. The food was wonderful. I had a stir fry and a mushroom appetizer, and they were both delicious! The chef and server were so kind. Go!!!!

good vibes, fresh food. - Edit
Ate here a few weeks ago,
Read moreAvocado salad was good, lettuce with avocado on top. I ordered it because of a few reviews raving about it but found it a bit basic. Good but nothing special about it.
Pad see ew was tasty and seemed fresh and high quality.
Skip the vegan sausage, is just like a packaged tofu dog sliced up with ketchup.
It was a pleasant experience though, and would go back if I was in the neighbourhood.

Lovely staff and great food... - Edit
It's an easy walk from the BTS and the staff were very welcoming when I arrived. I started with a juice - it was a smallish but tasted great. I then ordered the mushroom Pad Thai and the avocado salad - both of which were super tasty and generous in size. I enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and listening to the neighboring chickens!

Great Thai food and friendly, English-speaking staff - Edit
I stayed in this area as it has a lot of vegetarian restaurants. I tried a bunch of them, but came back to House of Joy multiple times. The staff speak great English, and welcomed me back each time! The food is some of the best vegetarian food I’ve had in Thailand, and very good value. The only problem is the limited opening hours.

Great food and choice!! - Edit
The second best meal we have had in Asia! The best is in Siem Reap. We are on a long trip and both vegan so good to find choice and good options, Loved this place, went back 2 times. One star missing just because so much egg - egg noodle, egg soup, and no price discount for no egg :( But good food!

Ace food, ace space, ace staff! - Edit
One of the best veg food places I've been to in the world. Everything is vegetarian and can easily be made vegan. The food is thought-out and nutritious. Lots of choice of Thai food and some salads and fresh juices. I ate the avacado salad, Thai green curry, vegetables stir fry and pad thai.

Excellent Vegan Food - Edit
I love the House of Joy. The service, food and atmosphere are excellent. The chef is very nice and will accomodate your specific requests and there are nice areas to sit outside, or if you prefer inside with air conditioning. I love the green curry and still haven't found a better place to eat in the neighborhood.

Awesome place for lunch! - Edit
Really awesome venue with a garden set up (and swinging chair), or air con inside if you prefer. Staff were very friendly and the menu had both vegan and vegetarian options. We had one green curry to share, two sides of brown rice, a fresh apple juice and a fresh coconut as well as two bottles of water and it came to roughly 260 baht. The food was delicious and fresh, would highly recommend!
