Authentic & vegan Sri Lankan Cuisine at its finest

I cannot stop eating here! I wish I could buy stock in this restaurant. It's well worth a visit to Rosemount to eat at this award-winning restaurant.

Like their website says, "the urge is to think of Sri Lankan cuisine as Indian" but it's different in a deliciously pleasing way. (This is not to slight Indian food which is also delicious). One of the main differences is in the use of coconut oil and coconut milk, which makes ALL of their dishes in the "vegetarian" section of the menu 100% vegan (even though they are not labeled as vegan) since no dairy is used. I confirmed this with the owner in April 2023 who was very happy to provide me with the following confirmed list of all vegan items on the menu (see website for a description):

VEGAN VEGETALBLE SPECIALS
Dhal Curry (Lentils)
Dhal and Spinach Curry
Batu Curry (Eggplant)
Bandakka Theldala
Ala Theldala
Kola Mallum (Kale)
Bonchi Curry
Ala Hodi
Ratu Ala (Beet Root)

VEGAN FRIED RICE SPECIALS
Vegetable Noodles (order with no egg which makes it 100% vegan)

VEGAN SRI LANKAN SPECIALTY ENTREES
House of Curry Rice Meal (substitute the meat item with a vegetable item)

VEGAN GODHAMBA ROTI
Dhal Curry (Lentils)

VEGAN APPETIZERS
Spicy Cauliflower

VEGAN SIDE ORDERS
White rice
