Great family owned local spot - Edit

This is a solid family owned local Chinese spot with fresh ingredients, always crisp veggies. They understand vegan and have multiple dishes that are delicious and vegan friendly including veggie dumplings, sesame noodles, and various tofu and bean cake offerings with veggies - my favorite is bean cake with black mushroom, delicious, not fried. They also offer brown rice

Good tasting Chinese - Edit

Our mixed vegan/non vegan family members ate here last week. Everything was freshly made to order and the staff is accommodating.

I had the broccoli and garlic sauce. Nice flavor, and not too greasy. The menu has a vegetable section, but nothing is specifically labelled vegan or vegetarian, fyi.

My husband and I had tried House of Chao a few years ago and were underwhelmed. When I saw they were now listed on HappyCow, we thought maybe something had changed and we tried again. We were once again underwhelmed. The "variety of seitan and tofu dishes" mentioned in the description does not seem to exist on the menu (unless there's a separate veggie menu they're keeping very hush-hush), and although the restaurant looks very nice, it's primarily a take-out place, which means service is very slow. Not really anything special.
