Serves meat, vegan options available. European-Asian fusion restaurant and bar with labeled vegan options. Open Mon-Wed 12:00-23:00, Thu-Sat 12:00-01:00, Sun 12:00-00:00.
A real delight to discover on a Sunday afternoon. The menu choices aren’t huge 4 starters/4 mains/4 deserts, with all mains vegan, they are however excellent! Tried the curry, salt & chilli tofu and fajitas, we all wanted them all!
Our best vegan dining experience in Belfast to date, will definitely be back.
This place has a separate vegetarian/vegan menu you need to ask for. I had the sweet corn chowder to start then salted chili tofu for main. So good both of them! My bf (a meateater) even chose the vegan "chicken" (tofu) fajitas for his main which he said was delicious and filled him up. They even have 2 substantial vegan options for deserts. Would definitely recommend this place- great to see a local place like this offering so many vegan options
Ate as part of a 40+ sized group of people. There appeared to be only 1 starter and 1 main for vegetarians, and the starter - halloumi - wasn't vegan. I can sort of understand for mass catering but if this is the usual offering, that's extremely lazy.
The main course was a chickpea curry that was likely vegan, served with rice and pickled onions. The halloumi came with peach slices and a small salad. Everything was pretty good, not amazing. Took a long time to get served but nothing messed up.
Horatio's is basically a bar with a middle class and middle aged clientele. Bar offers the usual brace of diageo brews on tap. When I was there the place was heaving and despite them taking up floor space and making it harder to hear people sitting right next to you when the volume was already high, a MOR rock band started up. Can't see the point personally.
Have also got to say the security manlet was extremely sharp to the point of rudeness to my pals who had taken drinks out the front literally 2 steps over the threshold. No one's rowdy so no need for that.
Not a bad place but not somewhere I will rush back to, food is nice but not my scene.
