I've been to Hope a few times now. So it's time for a new review. :)
They change some of plates in the menu seasonally, which I like as I get to try new things from time to time. So far, I've enjoyed all the plates they offer (I love the tempura!).
Desserts are good too, I liked both the carrot cake (when they had it) and the moelleux au chocolat. But what I actually liked the most were the sesame biscuits!
Having said that, I think that the dessert menu could have a bit more interesting things.
The service is impeccable: friendly, attentive and normal waiting times.
If you're around the neighborhood, I'd suggest you pay them first a visit, before going to the other vegan-friendly listings around.

As we explained and apologized to you, this day was rough as we were short on staff and were not expecting so many clients at the same time.
However we are happy that you seem to have enjoyed our vegan homemade food.
Let me just clear one thing about the praline, citrus and chocolate tart, which is not basically a cookie with chocolate mousse... It is actually a "sablé" with a homemade "praline cream" and a warm chocolate sauce. Entirely cooked in our kitchens.
We just opened, our menu is 100% vegan and homemade, ( which is rare and not the easiest way to go) so yes, there are still things to improve, and we do care about our clients experiences as we always ask if everything has been fine.
We would have expected you to come another time before being so severe with us here.
However we are looking forward to greeting you again.

And, as I also wrote, I'm still thinking of going again to HOPE, because I liked the food (and I want to support 100% vegan places too).
My review is based on the experience I had when I visited, so, if next time I go I have a better experience, I will of course change my review for a better one.

Wonderful vegan food with friendly service. The risotto is fantastic! Our family of four ate here tonight and we all loved it. The vegetable tempura starter is very large and filling, and it came with a delicious sauce. Good organic wine list and great desserts make this restaurant not to be missed.

As a main dish I had the Burger. Everything was delicious : the salsa, the fries, the burger. I chose the gaufre as a desert and found it very good. The place is lovely. Only cons : it was really cold inside !

Best vegetarian/vegan place in the marais - Edit
This is one of my favourite restaurant in the area. The dishes are great, with lots of flavour, and good prices. All ingredients are great and cooked with perfection. Contrarily to other so-called vegetarian/vegan restaurant, this place actually puts effort into the cuisine. I have brought all my non vegetarian friends there and they all loved it!

It‘s a stylish but cosy small restaurant. The menu is quite small wich means that everything is freshly made! And they have a dish of the day to bring variation! We had the „gofre de pomme de terre“ as a starter, then the „Bowl of Hope“ as a main and „ moelleux au chocolat“ and „chia pudding“ for deserts, everything was absolutely delicious! We highly recomend the place!

My favorites are escalope, burger, fondant au chocolat served with a fresh physallis berry (the berry is amazing!!!).
I used this place for lunch after my wedding ceremony and everyone was quite happy with the food and the service :)
They change their menu every season.

Went there for the first time today (January 11th, 2018) and I had a marvellous experience: the staff is friendly, the restaurant is well located (near République) but above all the food is excellent. I had the waffle (made from potatoes) with mushrooms as starter (very good, great mix of savours and textures) and then the burger (100% homemade, including the bun) with caramelized onions and mushrooms and it was sooo good. The fries are good (nothing extraordinary like the burger or the waffle but good though). My partner had the soy escalope and it was very good too. Finally I was full for any big dessert but the black sesame sablés were perfect with the coffee (a bit too filling for me though).
Read moreIt may seem a bit expensive at a first glance (7€ for the starter, 16€ for the burger or the escalope, 6€ for the coffee and sablés) but given the quality of the food, the fact that it is 100% home-made, 90% organic and seasonal (and given the location too) I'd say it is a fair price. Plus they have a menu (13€ for a meal & a drink) still pricey but more affordable. Anyway, I'd not hesitate if you're looking for a good food experience, it is worth the price.

Nice place with pure style and professional service. They have a limited number of dishes on the menu to ensure good quality. The food is often original though not always spectacular. Good wine. Sadly not extremely crowded.
