I wanted to like this but… - Edit
I like that they said they have vegan preparation options right on their menu, and they were very considerate and preparing things Vegan I just wish they had label things clearly on their menu, because there are some things that cannot be made vegan, although they could be if they simply purchased some alternative items like vegan cheese, for example.
Read moreI wanted to like this place a lot but unfortunately I think the food fell flat and the service was a tiny bit on the slow side. I was confused why they had reusable plates but not reusable cutlery. The location itself was a little bit rundown on the The bathroom was a little dirty.
It’s fine if you are in the area and want some food or do take out but I wouldn’t go all the way here for a special trip. Parking is also limited to street parking.
Pros: Vegan preparation available, Kind staff, All vegetarian
Cons: Food is “okay” not stellar , A little rundown (ambiance), No vegan sweets :(

Indian street food - Edit
I visited NYC yesterday and the person next to me on the plane was an Indian from an area close Delhi. and in talking about pav bhaji, she recommended Honest as a great place for that and vegetarians. Unfortunately, when I went I was rather full from a late lunch so just had some samosas, what struck me was how fresh they were, delicious. Honest serves vegetarian Indian street food and it feels and looks that way, including bollywood music playing!. I know a lot about Indian food but I am not an Indian, but it strikes me that the food there, at the right time, might be a cure from homesickness by someone from India. Will definitely come back.
