Worst service in little india - Edit
Awful experience. Don’t ask for a glass of water with your meal. They will refuse.

Good, quick, casual meal - Edit
Our food was actually very good, it came out quick and I enjoyed the vegetable curry. This place is all vegetarian but you can request some dishes vegan. They do seem to like adding cheese to everything. The varieties of American and Chinese influences are a bit odd but it's my personal preference not to have them (Indian pizza, sandwiches, a whole section of Indo fast Chinese).
Read moreFor those who prefer less heat, the dishes here are mellow. They won't make you sweat and the level isn't as deep, that's for sure, but they are still tasty. Even the sambar was good. If you're looking for great Indian food and love spicy food, the neighboring places provide that, but if on a day you just want a quick Indian inspired bite, this place works.
Pros: Quick, clean, good
Cons: Mellow, has some odd casual fast food combinations

Better Options Surrounding This Restaurant - Edit
Honest is a US Veg food chain.
Read moreWhen I walked into this newest location at around 3:00PM on a Sunday, the restaurant was full, and I figured I would roam around Artesia for a few hours until it opened again at 5:30PM for dinner. The restaurant closes between 3 and 5:30PM.
After we were promptly seated, a waiter came over, and didn't say anything to us. I asked him for a menu. The place was perhaps a third full for dinner, and it took at least 5 minutes for anyone to come over and even ask us if we wanted something to drink.
I was rather disappointed in the number of vegan offerings on the Indian menu, so ordered a dish on the Indo Chinese menu. We ordered the Manchurian, which consisted of veggie balls with some onions. I figured if the manager were to recommend this dish, it was probably going to be one of most impressive dishes on the menu. We were going to order more after trying a dish, but wanted to sample something before we went further, as I didn't know much about this restaurant. The Manchurian dish was small and average. Imagine a few average tasing veggie meatballs with some onions.
My feeling is that Honest will have to seriously up their service and food game to compete in an area with some of the best Indian food in the United States.
Pros: central location
Cons: Not great service, Not great food
