October fest vegan experience. - Edit
When we first seat the paper menu was confusing but the waitress came and told us they have a Vegan/vegetarian menu that anything on it can be veganized. They do have the beyond bratwurst.

Very good - Edit
The few things I had were all good. The staff was extremely accommodating with me being vegan.
Read moreThe options were limited and the veganwurst was just Beyond.
The pretzel (no cheese) was fine, but the red cabbage was really good!

Great option in Sanford but Confused Staff - Edit
Hollerbach's is probably Sanford's most iconic restaurant. Featuring live polka music, draft beers, and all sorts of German staple foods like schnitzel and sauerkraut, this popular eatery draws crowds from all over the Central Florida area.
Read moreI recently learned that you could veganize the spaetzle toss when you swap out the spaetzle for the bowtie pasta. I asked several waiters/waitresses and they were confused about the options. Eventually I got one of them to make it for me after I insisted that the option was listed on the website.

Disappointing - Edit
I heard they were vegan friendly and had great options but all I ended up with was some beyond sausage (which I love) fries and purple cabbage which was terrible. So basically a beyond sausage and fries. I didn’t get any type of German experience here. They literally had nothing else. The sausage comes out of a package and the fries are just fries! I’m sorry but if you’re going to put the word vegan on your menu you’re going to need to do better than this 👎🏼

Seriously… these places have got to do better than this. It’s nice to see some real, deserving reviews for a change.

Vegetarian options but not sure about vegan? - Edit
Can someone confirm they have vegan sausage? Is that new? I've been there and usually get the vegetarian spatzel toss (egg noodle) but there are very few vegan options here from what I remember, though it's pretty vegetarian friendly. Unless it's either new or just something off menu I never knew to ask about.
Read moreGreat dining experience though, they often have live music. And I think their vegetarian salad entree could be modified to be vegan (salads, maybe some sides). The only items I see marked vegan online are two sides: french fries and sweet red cabbage. Not sure if that has everything but seems about right from the menu I've seen when going there with friends.
Pros: Great vegetarian options
Cons: Not sure if any vegan entrees
