Bhanging - Edit
Delicately nestled in picturesque gardens overlooking the City of Durham Holi and Bhang is the latest addition to the Indian restaurant scene here. We started with popadoms and pickles at £1.95pp followed by a shared starter of piyazi (essentially onion and spinach bhajis). For the main course I ordered a veg madras which was quite exquisite and refreshingly different to ones I’ve been used to over the years. It was pleasantly hot with elements of cinnamon and ginger. There are also plenty of other vegan dishes to choose from. This is certainly a place worth checking out if you want to impress and is extremely reasonably priced indeed. With rice for two, roti breads and a couple of crisp pints of Cobra the bill came to 5p short of £50.
